Is a character copy even still technically possible at this point?

Despite ZOS' willingness/unwillingness to import character copies from PC to Console, is this even technically possible anymore? Would there be name conflicts?

Just wondering if I should go ahead and completely resign myself to the fact that I made a stupid decision in not importing my characters (wanted to start fresh and experience the game all over again) when I had the chance or still hold on to the chance that they might offer it again. I love playing with my console buddies but I miss my all my stuff :(

I don't see why it shouldn't be possible. It's basically just copy and paste. And if an account name already exists, they could just ask you for a new name.

console ppl will complain about over powered PC players so..i guess its technically possible but they just dont want to do it.

More importantly, the console and PC versions are now usually running different versions of the game. So if your PC character has been updated to a patch that's not on the console yet (with some new skill or nerf, for example), this could cause all sorts of conversion problems.
