Are food and drinks meant to stack with each other?

I've been told and may have read somewhere that you can have one food and one drink buff at the same time. Is this true? I'm asking because I drank a drink then ate food and the food canceled out the drink. Drink was for regen and food for max stats. Playing on Xbox one and EU server.

Steel_Brightblade✭✭✭✭So far as I know they don't stack which is why drinks are not use by most people, some like the Regen but majority seem to go for food for Max stats.0

✭Nope, you can only have one active at a time.
The only time a drink will stack with a food/another drink is when you use an XP potion, since those are technically not stat boosting.0 -
AJ_1988✭✭✭Another stupid one. I really should know the answer by now lol. But anyway. I'm assuming it's the same with the crown store ones. I know they don't stack together by I'm assuming they don't stack with the normal provisional ones. Correct?0

✭They don't stack either, the game doesn't have the ability to do so.
Back last year ZOS said that they were going to make them stack in 1.5 .. then 1.5 came out and this was oneof several U-turns ZOS did without telling us until it happened.0
