White Meat and Purple Juice (ps4 NA)

So I just went on a guild trader run to buy some ingredients to level my provisioning skill, and the majority of them only had purple juice and stacks of white meat, if anything at all. Oh, and one trader had a carrot for 100k. Is this normal? No money in selling a variety of provisioning ingredients?

Frost Mirriam and Bervez Juice do have value considering you cannot get them so easily (Hireling and Crafting Writ reward only) but the rest are indeed pretty valueless unless you need to buy them in bulk which you usually don't. For starters anyone with access to Cold Harbour can get tons of ingredients from all the containers freely and easily because nothing is marked as owned.

Sad truth though is Provisioning is considerably underappreciated and therefore doesn't have as much of a market. Even recipes are only sold just because and good luck finding someone selling blue or purple recipes...

I see plenty of blue and even some purple recipes in guild stores on XB. The prices are a bit steep, but they are there.

Raw provisioning ingredients are so readily available in game I don't think selling them at the guild stores has any value. With my most recent toon I slaughtered gobs of monkeys for white meat and bananas to make some food item, I forget which, but it leveled me pretty quickly. And there's always the grocer in Grahtwood in the north at Redfur Trading Post that sells every non-purple food item for only 10gp per piece. There's one in every alliance but I can't remember where the other two are right now. So it becomes pretty cheap to just buy stacks from her, grind out piles of green and blue food, and sell the results back to her. Yeah, it still costs but it beets, er... beats, paying 100K for a carrot.

I sell stacks of them occasionally, if I have listing space going to waste in a guild store and a surplus of an ingredient.

The convenience is worth it for some folks. Building up large stacks of provisioning supplies can take a lot of time and, probably more importantly, bank space. If someone is trying to power level provisioning or simply craft a bunch of stuff for personal use, and they would rather skip searching through every barrel and sack they come across for god-knows-how-long, clearing space as they go, the cost-benefit analysis clearly favors buying 100 from me for 2K.

I know what you're talking about with White Meat. I see that listed in a lot of places, and it doesn't seem to sell. Not sure what the big deal is.

I sell my green recipes for 409g and my blue recipes for about double that - they sell within a day or so, don't care if they are bought for resale or use.

I have never listed cooking materials, never seemed to sell on PC and never thought to on console. I have all my toons on auto-loot and I loot everything I can. Makes me empty my bags more often but now I'm never short on any food stuff.

And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

White meat is probably from those weird pig killer guys I have seen threads about.. .Instant respawn or something.

I am sure my white meat was from barrels ... but the way I auto-loot spam, I don't pay a lot of attention

I just checked all the grocers in EP and DC and couldn't find one like the one you mentioned in AD. I guess I have to wait until I hit Cadwell's Gold before I have access to that special grocer.
