Console: Should text chat be implemented with the IC patch?

YES you need it. It should be implemented asap. Although, not at this time as it would push back an already year late expansion even further. So, no. Not right now. Sorry but soon™ actually applies in this case. God, I feel dirty for saying that.
No I absolutely didn't know, I heard it was EXACTLY the same in fact I even researched ESO before playing this apparently they were all using the PC version.
Text chat would not push back Anything, it is already in the code.
I didn't realize ZoS was this stupid and obnoxious not to add Text Chat into an MMO so no I didn't know, I expected it to have Text Chat like every good MMO on a Console Does.4 -

✭✭YesYes please, voice chat is mostly useless. Text chat would be so much easier because it is already a pain to look for groups to do certain activities like random normal/vet dungeons, especially looking for the right and capable player who actually plays by the role he/she chooses, like tanking for example.
No offence, but the people who disagree and say no have the most terrible arguments against this idea.

Dude, please don't post stuff like that; it's a good excuse to lock this and we need to show percentages on this topic.
And to the PC guy who said no cause it's an excuse to delay, just no. There's already code for it and as bad as console communication is, it will soon be driving people from the game exclusively for that reason. Calluna✭✭✭NoIf adding text chat on consoles was as simple as you think it would already be in plain and simple. ZOS has to know it is needed and see by overwhelming number of requests for it that it is a big quality of life thing for console players. It is needed for console but it should in no way be tied to IC downloadable content, lag fixes in cyrodiil on PC or balancing passes. ZOS has already put PC development on hold for over 6 months, its time they concentrated on the PC player base for just a little while. And no that is not spite talking it is frustration.0

I seriously don't understand arguments like this. How in the name of Talos, do people consider us arguing for a way to be more social in an MMO as us being anti-social. Lleksu✭✭✭YesI didn't see that many gold spammers (if any at all when I think about it) in DCUO and I would think banning such people would be quite simple on a console as there are less ways of avoiding getting caught than on PC.
Anyway, I'd take a few easily ignorable text chat gold spammers over the swearing, burping, baby crying, kid getting told off, music blaring, noise pollution we have at the moment
Voice chat is perfect for small groups, teams and talking to people you know, but for anything else it just falls short.
We need text chat as a matter of urgency!

If you removed the IC and just said at some point it would even be higher yes as some vote no afraid it would delay the IC patch.
