Add On UI Idea from an Immersion Guy

I had a great idea last night on how to give the "add-on" folks what they want DPS meter-wise, while keeping the immersion crowd happy. How about we install a shooting range?

You can take your abilities out on one of the various war training dummies at the range and after 5 hits an NPC can give you a full report on your DPS, spell damage, or whatever really. This will allow the min-maxers an avenue to do what they do, but keep all of the floaty numbers and such off of the actual battlefield. Charge 100 gold for the right to use the range, and even add in some targeting mini-games for fun and dye achievements.

As a big "no UI" guy I see nothing wrong, imbalanced or unfair to either side with this solution. Thoughts?

I kind of like the idea in and of itself. We've also been asking for target dummies to test with, so it plays into that.

That said, there's no need for "sides" on the UI. All we need is toggles, on/off. Everyone can have what they want with no problems.

If we had targeting dummies or friendly duels, we would have a way of testing out builds and skills in a controlled environment in order to find bugs or skills/passives/sets that's aren't working as intended. Zenimax, of course, will never allow that to happen.

....feel like this was pretty much taken from the training dummy thread...

Admittedly I didn't even know about that thread. I just had a lightbulb moment. If it echoes someone else's idea than great!
