Even more than lack of new content is the lag in pvp.

If they don't fix that next update I'll be done with the game. Tired of that being the factor in every fight. They need to address group size, zerging and just overall bulkiness in the coding that causes it. They've had a million ideas (some even good ones) on how to address some of the issues that doesn't even concern coding and yet they sit on their hands.

Mini rollbacks , losing 1 or more hours of progress.

I have experienced this 3 times after release in ESO and such server and database sync issues are inacceptable.
I was so close to leave because this is the worst case that can happen in MMOs and you cant get this out of your head "Will it happen again?".

I am so glad they have fixed those severe sync issues because this would really had killed the game.

SOOO that is what has been happening..lol I thought I was losing my mind..I kept logging on (when I can for a few minutes before I crash) and think..I know I've already been here yet I get exp for discovering the area, or I have a quest I KNOW I completed...yet its not.

I'm glad I read your post!

What has made me stop playing? Quite simple really. Absolutely nothing to do because of all the focus on getting the consoles release ready.

i admit i didnt totally stop, but 1 to 3 hours weekly means im not in love with this product like i use to be.....

but my reasons for slowing down to an almost halt is...

silence from company....i know consoles ....but hey ZOS ....you have other customers too with other demands and needs..

lag, lag , lag, pressing buttons and nothing happening is a pain, and theres only so much vodka in the house
broken skills and quests.....where to begin........

QoL things....inventory ! do you have to be so dam cheap about it!?

no auction house , .........which im starting to think its just the vender guy....

kinda feel like im forced to solo, because trying to form a group is like....trying to find a open register at the market...

and i dont have a sense of family in this game as i did in others, i mean we can join up to 5 guilds by choice, but i made it a thing to stay with just one for almost a year so i could get to know the people....but now im forced to join 3 more because they are all gone now.....no longer logging in.....ghost town sometimes really.... theres more but why bother...

    wheres my martini.....?....

[*] QUEST LAYERS: The game has come to PS4! I can play with my friends! Oh... wait.... I did that quest already and I was going to help you, but now you're invisible... hmm well so much for that. NOT FUN!

I've run into that as a PC player. Funny thing though, the friend I was going through the quest with was a DK, and though I couldn't initially see her opponents, the second she fiery gripped someone (I think she'd morphed it to extended chains); anyway once the target was 'chained' and reeled in, I could see them and attack them.

    Yeah it took work.

Similarly, when I want to adventure "with" a friend and we are doing "solo" content (mages guild or main quests or something like that) we simply write off the "invisible" problem as due to the dragonbreak, and still keep pace with each other using skype or teamspeak (or if it's my spouse, by leaning over and asking 'are you down the stairs yet').

I find that the more energy and optimism I bring to the game, the more I get out of it.

VMMV .... looks like it does.

Them saying we could "play our way" and then 6 Mo into launch taking it back
(Change to 1h & shield skill line)

Lack of Thieves & DB guilds.... Promised right after launch

    No unarmed skill line

    No 1h skill line

Changing skill lines in "classes" to make them all equal. Some good some bad. Its like D&D 4.0
    P&P for the WoW world

    5 guild system

    Lack of dedicated RP serverserver

Lack of dedicated PvP server (all PvP all the time, not zones)

    Crashing since last update.

    That's enough for now.

For me? It's the sickening feeling of a single player game that had multiplayer threw in half arsed. Seriously.
    1. Voice chat but no text chat?
Half the time someone is screaming in their mic so we should have text because they won't allow us to mute individuals but instead leave the entire channel.

    2. The Lack of a modern LFG system.
I have not seen such an outdated LFG system since EverQuest's early days when they still did 80 man raids.

    3. The punishment of grouping.
The lack of kindness when ti comes to whom can group with whom for whatever reason they want to. I basically cannot play with friends until I am within 4 levels of their game when they would LOVE to help me in my dungeon. Pathetic.

    4. The vet system.
The entire thing is to stretch out content. Why can we not play through the other campaigns AND play among the alliance players if we can the NPCs? I mean that is a HUGE mistake right there!!! Just a huge grind to offset lack of content.

I mean the stuff mentioned above is almost exclusively fixed in the more popular FTP MMOs.
This game just feels unpolished and lacks the support of the developers.

The Imperial City DLC is going to make all progress, time, and effort obsolete. Even with that said it just seems like a big patch to fix an unbalanced game and probably make things worse.

I was actually kind of disappointed in the number of slotted abilities they allow. Having played many other mmos it was kind of depressing to only be able to use two sets of five.

This is what did me in eventually. I bought the game exclusively for the PvP. Everything else was just a bonus.

I could deal with the lack of new content, "unbalanced" classes, buff servers, and everything else. The fact that the most exciting part of PvP for me, the large sieges, would lag out the server (without fail) just ruined it. One large fight and I would stop seeing most spell effects until I relogged. It just became more annoying than fun.

The lack of any interesting, solo-able content for the over fifties, if you are not into group playing and don't just want to do the same content all over again as a Vet.

    Still no Thieves Guild.

Still no Dark Brotherhood. (I know they have teased it but, when will it happen?)

No news on when any of the currently unused zones may be added.

Utterly disappointed over the direction in which the developers seem to be, very slowly, heading. Eg, introducing a justice system without a Thieves Guild and the opportunity to tell them you are a member and bribing them and too much emphasis on group and PVP content to the exclusion of content for the many solo players.

Too much emphasis on developing content for the Crown Store, rather than getting on with developing new content.

Bored and saddened. The hope of more than a year ago, that ESO would be a great game, gone.

Originally back in early months I quit due to phasing and the fact that the only usable builds had to be cloth and staff, no matter the class. Came back when it went FTP to try, liked some of the changes around armor weapons etc. Left again due to the PvP issue around lag, some of the build exploits, but the announcement of VR16 was the straw that broke the camels back (plenty of other discussions around VR16 in other threads)

I just hit level 50. So i think I'M all done with this game until they remove vr ranks and champion points. The whole vr rank champion system looks like crap to me and i can't be bothered with it. The only reason i came back to the game was the promise to remove these things. To me they flat out lied. When they remove it i might come back but right now i started up Rift again and having more fun with that and the new Skyforge is fun too.

The extremely boring PvE. The first playthrough was great. It felt like a big world with nice quests. Didn't like cadwell but ok I did those to.

I tried leveling an alt. I liked DC's story best so wanted to do that. But around lvl 20 I stopped.

Also endgame dungeons is not for me. Every raid is repetitive and also did them once or twice in other mmo's and then quit doing them.

So I haven't left Cyrodill in months. I love the PvP. But like yesterday, I stopped early because of the LAAAAG. That really destroys it for me.

I don't think IC will save PvP for me and Orsinium PvE. Because Orsinium is launched and one week later you done it all.

I do look forward to thief guild and Dark brotherhood. Unless they are setup like Mage and fighter guild. One or two quests per zone and no side quests you are the hero right away blech. Also just like Justice system, I would like it more as a new player. For a V14 it is nothing. And I don't like to level an alt

The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

#2 would be lack of ZoS' attention to address zerging.

The Elder Scrolls games are on the dark side of things, but the Devs try to not let it be called evil, just pass it off as "another option" kind of thing. Being openminded is cool and all. In Skyrim I could avoid anything I thought was too evil for my preferences, but not here in ESO.

To me the game ESO is overwhelmingly evil, and in so many obvious and also in subtle ways. Soul Gems... got to be the most evil system of mana/power management I ever saw in a video game, and it's downright impossible to avoid using them in ESO. Sorcerer's pets only deadra (who we are supposedly trying to fight), the skills themselves of most classes (don't need to be a Vamp when you are a NB, the standard self heal IMO is just a vampire skill), our status as a "soul shriven", too much emphasis on vampire and werewolf, as well as many others too numerous to list.

I tried to give this game a good go at it, tried to be open minded... the game has it's fun parts for sure... but to me evil is evil no matter what dress it wears. Evil sexy is still evil and I have no taste for it. I even tried playing just Templars but even that feels like I am just pretending to be good. I don't want to just pretend to be a good guy in a video game, I want my character to be a good guy, not just "another kind of evil".

That is why I hardly play at all anymore and have given up any desire to make it anywhere near 50.

Ayyyy lmao this gave me a good laugh

Lack of content means I am playing less. I can't do much of the repeatable group content because of limited use of my hands. I need to go at my own pace.

The lag is ticking me off considerably too. I know it's because of more players in places like Daggerfall and that's good but I can't level alts in a slideshow.

Thirdly I just have other things to do - it's summer, W3 is blooming amazing etc.

"What in ESO has made you want to stop playing?"

The fact that the PC player base was lied to concerning the promise of releasing new updates or content every 6 weeks. We got a few content patches and 6+ months of "Oh the entire company is busy working on the console versions... but here, have a bunch of 'limited time only' mounts that cost actual cash".

    Reasons i stopped playing.
    1. not delivering on promised content in a reasonable time frame.
    2. going back on their word with Veteran ranks.
    3. broken/imbalanced champion system
    4. lackluster Vampire mechanics.
    5. laggy pvp battles leading to much frustration.
    6. reaching max level/gear with little to no content left to achieve.
    7. allowing bugs (some from beta) to persist for over a year now.
    8. keeping their community in the dark, failing to address many of the games problems.
    9. useless PVE dungeon loot (crafted/pvp takes the cake)
    10. broken LFG system
    11. buggy animations and visual effects (some since beta i have reported repeatedly over the year)
    12. ...

The list goes on and on and on.

I think this sums it up, I still play, but the above are most of the reasons my friends give for stoping. They still laugh about the guild traders.

The first time when I left, 2 months into the release, was because so called "European Server" was not being located literally in Europe. Lag, bugs and many unfortunate decisions that ZOS made just before launch amongst taking "Starting Islands" away, taking "Weapon Choice" away, without even bothering to ask to their potential player base.

They just listened to a particular players and gave decisions that drastically lowered the numbers of players. They just cater the big guilds and even bunch of people will disagree (who kept still playing), lacking of any type of a Auction House (even some local ones) was one of this decisions which made these guilds more than happy. These guilds also ruined pvp for many while they kill anything on side.

Second time when I came back after a long break, the ungratefulness that they show to european and beta players, they did do the same to PC players and ignored all suggestions and focused on to where the next profit is.

Game was fun but for me the companies' attitudes are also crucial when I decide to pay. Just wanted to pop-up and contribute with my humble opinions so maybe if anyone from ZOS reads this(lol) maybe it affects their upcoming decisions.
