Poison Arrow Needs Major Brutality in IC

✭Momentum and Hidden Blade both unlock at 38. Poison Arrow is rank 2. I might be ok with adding it to Snipe, but Poison Arrow is too early IMO. Also both 2H and DW are close range weapons, and with Bow being ranged it offers mobility, losing damage is often a trade off.1 -

Yes, but Rally provides Brutality and healing outside of combat, while stealthed. At endgame, the scales would balance IMO. Having a slight advantage for 25 levels means nothing in the long run. Bow needs that utility to remain competitive.

As a bow user, I shouldn't be forced to run either 2H or DW in order to receive Major Brutality and remain competitive at endgame. With the current buff system, every weapon skill should be able to stand on its own and be competitive, or ZOS needs to add Major Brutality to a skill everyone can use, regardless of weapon choice or class.

To clarify, with alchemy leveled for the passive, and possibly a jewelry enchantment.. There is very little down time with potions.

My build after IC patch is going to be double DW. Utilizing Flying Blade and Relentless Focus as my ranged attack's. If Bow's are getting a good enough buff, i may just have to do back to DW/Bow.
The build i will be running if anyone's wondering.
Bar 1: Dark Cloak, Blood Craze, Vigor, Surprise Attack, Ambush, Soul Harvest

Potions vs. Ability Effects: Ability buffs will always trump potions, IMO, for a few reasons. 1) Potions can be difficult to use during combat, due to game mechanic issues. 2) Only 1 potion can be active at a time, and needing to maintain Major Brutality via potion limits your options. 3) Most importantly, potions cost gold. Abilities don't.
Every magicka build in the game benefits from Entropy, regardless of class or weapon choice. Not only does it provide Major Sorcery, but Empower as well. Stamina users need similar access to Major Brutality. The best option, would be to replace Major Savagery on Expert Hunter from the Fighters Guild skill line, with a Major Brutality buff when cast and turn Major Savagery into a Fighters Guild Passive that activates upon the use of any fighters guild ability, similar to 'Might of the Guild' from the Mages Guild skill line. This would solve a lot of weapon skill balance issues.

✭✭I liked 1.5 better, when keeping the 2H weapon active was required to benefit from momentum. The major/minor buff system really made a mess. Now everyone feels entitled to every single buff because 'it should be available with this particular playstyle'.

He's right you know. But as other may be stateing in the thread Momentum is applied to both weapons instead of just the 2H which IMO is stupid and needs to be changed to only be applied to the 2H when you have it equiped so if you swap weapons the effect ends.0 -

You would still use 2h over dw as a nb since your usallly using Surprize att / ambush. Until this change occur's and dw (rapid atrike's) get's a buff, 2h is still the go to.....
I hate rally.
You also have to wait for IC so DW can get vigor..
The best way to fix Rally is to make it only applie to 2H ability's and the 2H itself.
