Back in 2014 before the game launched Matt Firor I think said that we would be able to change apperance mid game at some point, he posted this on the elder scrolls reddit Q and A session.
Its been like a year, and no update has included this. I'm sure the team might need to spend a bit of time to implement it, but the character creation system is already present. Just let us edit our characters body and face, similar to the dye station. Have a building or station to edit our charcs.
When will this be added? It was promised a year ago, and nothing happened since...

Yeah, it is being mentioned, and yeah, "soon" is all we have been hearing. A great many people wish for it, and wioth the crown store here... we may now finally get it, since its another thing they can make money of. No agrument on this one, I'd be willing to pay to change my characters appereance to fix small things that looked all right in chargen, and not so well in live game... as long as it happens SOON! 2 -
SeñorCinco✭✭✭✭My current main is way too buff. Besides, people change all the time. Hair, age and weight being the most prominent. I want to be able to change my character as he evolves through his story. I hope it becomes a standard implement, in lieu of being available at given levels.

I don't recall him or anyone at ZOS promising anything. Just the usual they like the idea, would like to do it etc. Like this.

That said, I'm amazed that appearance change wasn't in the crown store from day one. It can't be technically complicated to do and there's solid demand for it.0 -

If you lose interest in your character's appearance your motivation to log on and play significantly drops. We invest an obseen amount of time with these characters and there should really be a feature to accommodate our desire to change their appearance.
I made a skinny old magic caster but might want to respec into a buff looking stamina dude one day. No way I'd enjoy a stamina build with a super tiny brittle old man. It seriously defers me from playing a new and different way.4 -
For a free to play where most income for the company is built mainly around monetizing asthetics...it baffles me that a character revision feature isnt readily available for crowns, thats a must and should be in store from day one. This is a huge overlook on the business end as each day is countless profit tossed out the window as player base dwindles. Last official response said "soon..." that response was 3 months ago. This speaks volumes about a company and its priorities. So far all i see is false hopes and foolish priorities. Not a good sign.3

How hard can it be to implement this anyway? They could give us the option to do it in the crown store or via a shrine like we do with our skills and attributes.0 -
Azurephoenix999✭✭✭✭✭In character creation, I wanted my character to be slightly shorter than average. What I didn't count on was the fact that everyone else would make their characters ridiculously tall. now my character looks like a dwarf by comparison (not the fantasy kind).
I need to be able to rectify this as it was not my intention to create a dwarf character.

Dragon Age utilizes a 'mirror' that basically takes you to the same original character creation screen... then you just update whatever features you want, save, and exit the mirror. Not sure why ZOS can't implement a similar feature or even add a 'token' in the Crown store which will allow appearance changes.CP: 2130 ** ESO+ ** ~~ ***** Strictly a solo PvE quester *****

✭✭✭✭✭I would guess the holdup WAS console release NOW it's trying to get Imperial City out... THEN it's going to be that they are working on Orsinium. after that they'll be working on Thieves Guild. Then Dark Brotherhood. Then Clockwork City. Then Murkmire... Then it's 2017 and ESO will be three years old....What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.

Thanks. Better than nothing, but is very non-specific.
To be honest, when I read the post it translated as:"Meh, we'll get to it whenever. We'd rather work on the crown store and DLC. Charging people for character appearance changes will go over poorly, so we're dragging our feet all together."

It's honestly pretty sad how long they're taking to implement this. The game has been out for over a year now. Get it done.
