Does the imperial mount offer any increased starting stats??

Hi, I am curious about the imperial edition, I found quite a discount on it so a bought it. I noticed that its main bonuses are the imperial race+extras and the mount.

I want to know if the mount starts of with more speed or stamina or is it just a different look?

Also is the imperial gear bonus more of a transmog that can be accessed early game or is it a veteran level armor accessed later on.

The reason I'm asking before trying is that the game has a long way downloading and i want to know if i should refund and get the standard or not.

...All mounts are aesthetic only now, they are just skins. Your stats for mounts are tied to your individual characters' "Riding Skills", it has been this way for, what, over four months now? Since mid March I think...

Mounts are just skins so the benefit to that part isn't really a benefit anymore.
The Imperial gear is the ability to change any piece of gear at any level into the Imperial style (not sure if that applies to dropped set pieces)

The Imperial race itself isn't bad, a lot of people running those.

Not bad? It's a top tier race.

No riding skill advantage to the Imperial horse, but it's nice to instantly have a mount for all characters at no cost. Jump on those daily trips to the stablemaster.

It would of been nice if they had left the different mounts with their increased stats so that you could have different horses for different purposes while maintaining the increase all stats sort of deal they have now. You could still switch between them and in general they would share the stat increases when a player bought them.

Simply put it would look like this.

    Horse with Increased Speed.
    75 - Speed
    60 - Stamina
    60 - Carry

    Horse with Increased Stamina
    60 - Speed
    75 - Stamina
    60 - Carry

    60 - Speed

ZOS would still be able to cash in on new mount skins and the Training, and as an added bonus the Horses would become a gold sink again.

As it is now, theres no need to buy any of the in-game horses beyond the Imperial and the 20k horse unless you want your horse to look a specific way.

the motif, as in crafting/changing armor and weapons, is just a different cosmetic style. However, normally to be able to do it you'd have to find the rarest motif in the game, and possibly the rarest drop in the entire game.
The race choice itself is very nice, and starting with a horse, for all your characters on the server, is a nice bonus instead of waiting to save 10k just to get a horse and start training your character on it. The headstart of getting 10k worth of inventory/bank space quicker, plus training your riding skills for the days it would have taken to save 10k, is very nice. I am very thrify when it comes to digital content purchases, but Imperial is very worth it to me.

With Crown store mounts now available, I understand why they didn't do this. Having different mounts available for different amounts of Crowns (bought with real money) with different stat boosts you start treading dangerously close to P2W. Much better to avoid that possibility by making them all the same. From one point of view, I find it unfortunate that we no longer have certain breeds of horse that are faster, or sturdier, or can carry more, and I find it unfortunate that all mounts have the "unlimited run" perk, rather than mounts of different species having different perks, as was originally planned, but better to make them all somewhat bland than risk P2W.

Thnx for the info guys, I think I will keep the game :)

If i'm getting imperial edition might as well use the imperial race. Can anyone tell me what is the best class for imperials?

Templar/Dragonkight? and which specialization is best?

    Thank you

Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

My biggest fear in life is, ending up marrying a girl who is lactose intolerant, think about it you would have to purchase double the amount of milk every week, cause you enjoy the goodness of full cream milk and she is drinking soy beans, and her milk takes up extra room in the fridge, or when you are doing a midnight run to the fridge to get a nice cup of milk and to accidentally pour some Soy milk. Can't go wrong with an Imperial DK tank.

The change was for financial motives only.

If players had to spend 50 days feeding their mounts again, they wouldn't have bothered buying a new senche or a frost pony. ZoS couldn't afford reduced income, so they added this "awesome new riding skill system". Yay! :|

No difference. Just a horse that looks like Lone Ranger's Silver.

But I really like the game. So no complaints from me, plus Molag statue was pretty awesome.

They make for very beefy characters. It's, maybe, a little out of character for who they've been in the single player games, but ESO's Imperials are very tough.

Imp Sorcs work for Tanking. Yes, I know, there's the whole, "well you can't tank as a sorc" garbage from Deltia.

EDIT: Also, stam build Sorc DPS are freakin' terrifying.

Any tank, any stamina DPS. The reason sorcerers are less popular is because they have less synergy with stamina builds than other classes and so most people prefer magicka-oriented races.
