How do I get my pet's name to show up to other people?

None of my friends can see my pet's name. Is there a setting to change somewhere, or is there no way to do this? Giving them a custom name is the best part of owning companion pets, imo, but naming them loses its appeal if nobody else can see it.

✭✭✭✭✭It's a shame this isn't an option. Although actually the better way to go about it would be for each person to be able to choose whether they can see pet names or not.
