Marriage Benefits - Shared Bank Space

I think it is awesome that marriage is an option for players, and the bonus of the Ring of Mara is very nice. Would it be possible make an option to combine the bank space of two married players? This would make sharing with the person I'm married to extremely easy. Right now I can only transfer items 5 at a time in person. Using the bank would allow me to set aside items for my friend to pick up when convenient for him. I realize the bank is shared between all of my characters, but this is the only potential issue I can see with making this an option. Thank you for making a game that I can't put down.

Huh. That's a cool idea! I could see some possible issues with needing a certain level of trust with the two people married, but hey, you took the pledge of Mara!

Combining bankspace is impossible due to items that are bound to your character. Another problem would be, that you can marry different people with your different characters.
But maybe shared bankspace could be added seperately, similar to how guild banks work.

I just got married the other day and was thinking the precise same thing.

As lolo stated, the devs could consider adding a similar functionality for Guild Banks. non-soul bound items can be added to this space. My hubby and I share a lot of items and bank space is very expensive as you go higher. We need a space to store our community property.

SAO The most immersive online rpg ever imagined ( Sword Art Online) had a shared bankspace for married couples. I don't see why ESO should lower the bar....

    That was an ACTUAL MMO?

As for the concept here, I really like the idea... except it could work as a separate Shared Bank where anyone you've used the Ring of Mara with has access to that separate section and you have to deliberately move items in and out of that bank.

You should have to use the Ring of Mara go get a shared bank.
Each person you've used the ring with adds a different tab to the bank.

What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.

Just do what the Mormons do. Have 1 legal wife, 8 common law wives, and then start your own guild.

you could use 9 rings of Mara... lol @ a player who starts a guild and requires everyone in the guild to be married to them.

No. Bad idea. Think about it....all's fine and dandy in the honeymoon phase, but....

What if you get divorced? Your significant other could clean you out, pack up, and switch servers. BOOM. Gone. I see scammers lining up to pledge their undying love to you; oh, they'll promise 'forever'...which would mean until they can get into your bank account. The Vampire/Werewolf NPC killing and shrine scamming people for bites is bad enough, just imagine if they had other ways to prey upon innocent players.

Even if it's semi-amicable and mediated through ESO's nonexistent divorce law firm, how do you negotiate what you get to keep in terms of items and gold? And I don't see 'Prenups' being available in the Crown Store anytime soon...

    "Now I ain't saying she a golddigger..."

SAO was the most immersive because you would frankly live, feel, love and/or die for real inside the game.

However since it was not an actually programmed MMO, just an imaginary one, made up for a cartoon plot, I chosed to call
it the most immersive rpg ever *imagined*.

My humble point was that in SAO you would share your belongings with your wife/husband.
However this once lead a man to kill his wife in SAO over a legendary ring. Tragic.

If this was a thing then I would need a pre-nup signed...my bank space is mine and so is the stuff within. :)

Good idea but then a "divorce" in-game will be just like real life and they'll take all your stuff :)
