You know ZOS, I asked myself a question today after I saw a sorc running around in pvp with a 51k point shield. There is no point in playing or paying when you have allowed this crazy stuff to happen. Thanks but where can I get my money back.

so this sorc must of had hardened ward, harness magicka and barrier up a shield of that size, not to mention 100 CPs in Bastion.

Do something else or don't bother fighting that sorc. Why is one player ruining your fun? If it's not fun because of that entire class, then don't give ZOS money if you don't support the product. It's pretty simple. They don't owe you anything, and you don't owe them either.

Only about 13k shield belongs to sorcs class skill, all other class can stack the other 37k shield.
Templar can stack 37k shield with 5 k class shield + powerful self heal.

Normally You only have to go through 13k hardern ward if using Melee attack, magicka need to go through 25k shield, but it's the game design to make magicka build weaker, and the sorc also suffer because all sorcs using magicka.

I hate the harness magicka, of cos that give us another 15k shield, but that's so hard for a sorc to kill someone spam harness magicka, especially with the wings and heals.

Also you failed to mention that while a templar might be able to get such shields, they would also have baby dps and no real escape options either. Just stand there and spam heals until they run out of magicka and die.

I feel the OP's pain though. It's really discouraging and frustrating to see a single sorc streak through a full raid, kill a few and still manage to get away without his HP being dented due to shields.

Magicka Templar can also use harness magicka, healing ward, barrier and CP on Bastion. If what OP mention is true that sorc have 51k shield, all other class can have 37k because sorcs class skill give about 13k.

The 13k hardern ward is sorcs only shield against physical damage, it usually down in 1-2 hits, compare with NB's cloak, cloak is more powerful defence but it's very unreliable at the moment.

Sorcerers are the most exploitable class at the moment, making it really hard to judge their actual status in PvP and giving Sorcerers a lot of misguided 'Sorc OP' nonsense.

Especially with more and more people becoming aware of the fact that there is no immunity to roots. What is the point of CC immunity if it only applies to snares? And when rooted, your only options are to either stand there and take the damage, or roll out of it.. AND THEY'RE NERFING DODGE ROLL. Seriously, I'm finding more and more sorcs hitting me with that stupid root repeatedly, like every step I take. So my only choice is to roll spam, and I won't even be able to do that anymore.

Sorc is definitely right now the class of choice for those that want the easiest way of racking up kills in PvP I would say. People talk about NB trolling with 1 shot kills and all that, but it's the sorcs that hands down annoy the most. Like you said, before any skill comes into play, they are walking into a fight with 30k+ shields.

After the next update people will probably start using NB more due to detect pots not breaking cloak. And I believe sorcs are getting some nerfs.

This one AD sorc, Act of Rage, he can't one shot me or cause too much trouble within the first min of battle. I just can't break through his shields. One battle I had with him my stamina was shot and he literally just streaked over me something like 6 times in repeated succession to beat me. Super shields large magic pool.

If 51k shield is possible for a Sorc then of course 37k shield is possible for Templar. A 14k Hardened Ward is on the upper end of the Hardened Wards you'll be facing. Magicka Templars can do some nice DPS and also can escape if a Vampire.

When playing my NB it is relatively easy to tell which sorcs are using known exploits and which are not. When I see those guys I just ignore them just like I do another exploiter. Why make the game fun for them?

Shuffle is your friend, why aren't you using it if you're stam and having issues with root?

Sorcs aren't getting nerfed in 1.7, they're getting buffed in many respects by the way everyone else is getting nerfed.

Yes I did die from something like that. If you read what I wrote I said I was in battle with him and my stam crashed. That means my health had already taken a beating before I got streaked to death.

How can you tell?

By how big their shields are, how often they are critting and hitting for. Relatively easy for me to tell since I know my sorc so well and the math behind the game. If someone is stacking shields that insanely large, they shouldn't also be fully penetrating my spell resist and they shouldn't be critting me 60% of the time with no magelight up.

Supposedly people can also see mundus stone buffs with addons as well which may make it easier to identify the exploiters for you.

Basically a sorc who is not exploiting can't just stand there with 3 people beating on him as he calmly casts at you like your 10K+ hits are insignificant. These guys can't kill me since I'm running a well rounded and anti-magic build but they're not worth the effort to kill.

I have just started using shuffle. It wasn't part of my normal rotation because I haven't been root spammed as bad up until recently.

Thats why you build an army and have it with you when you go into Cyrodiil, incase you run into that.

I don't care how much of a shield you have, it might take half a squad to kill one, but they still get dead.

I don't mind a bit of imbalance, makes thing interesting.
