Turn Rally into a Fighter's Guild Skill.

    Also don't forget with rally duel wield would become the most health sustainable set up as they would not only have a damage boost and heal in rally but also a damage attack and heal from blood craze. The problem with moving out changing any skills is the unchosen effects it will have on other classes and set ups. Personally I hope it all gets left alone as there are far more game breaking issues that need to be looked at first.

    Not necessarily. I think you're forgetting that the heal from blood craze is very weak and doesn't even work on some monsters. Consequently, I have no idea if it works on vampires in pvp, but if it doesn't it means that it won't provide any healing against roughly 30-40% of players. In addition, 2h also has a decent damage shield especially against multiple opponents.

    And in pve? Or is that being discounted entirely? or is this one of those theories which is all about making changes for pvp at the cost of pve which so many games do. This is why they choose the vigour route in the first place, zos, didn't want to harm or affect pve and so change a skill that only people that pvp can get. There were some good skill ideas in there, though most were overpowered or ones which remove the unique identity of each weapon.

    I actually exclusively play pve, for your info. I simply want an alternate survivability skill to be used with any weapon class for rp purposes. I tell you, I hate using 2h swords as a nightblade. I agree, however that many changes are for the benefit of pvp players, but by making rally a universal skill would allow for more build diversity, ultimately improving the game.

    To add, Rally does not give 2H a "Unique Identity". It is a buff. A buff all weapon classes would love to have. Giving 2H a new skill would add to it's "Unique Identity" anyway's.

    It is part of its identity as it is what allows it to be played as intended, duel wield is designed as a medium ranged bust slip in slip our weapon, this is evident with the range of steel tornado and thrown dagger and the aoe protection buff which also has a run speed bonus, as in doing so that's what would catch you most. 2 hander is designed to get in close, stay there and do some heavy damage, that's not possible without some form of health bonus and damage increase. Sounds to me like you may be trying to play a dual wield set up in the style of a2 hander and are not happy that its not playing out.

    Im not too sure why you want this? Why not perhaps change some of the mechanics of dual wield, perhaps increase the survivability of sword and shield, you know, make each weapon line unique with its identities rather than slapping a band aid to fix something that is in itself inherently bad.

    One of the reasons why dual wield seems subpar to two handers is simply because of the way damage over time works against some mobs and also how cloak is affected by the dots you put on an enemy. Change that mechanic to make dual wield an awesome aoe and dots weapon because right now, its dual wield that needs work, not two handers.

    Increase sword and sheild survivability? Rally help's this.

    If DW had rally, dw might be able to stay in combat for the duration of twin slashes DoT. Change dw mechanic's for awesome AoE? Dw steel tornado is already insane. Dw just needs some heal's (Rally) to keep at it.

    2 handers will not be impacted by this change at all. If anything 2 hander's will recieve a new skill benifiting the weapon class.

    Everyone has their own opinion. Take the thread with a grain of salt.

    Try to pvp from a stamina sword and sheild / dw point of view. It's hard to sustain.

    One of the old two handed passives was a battlemage perk that reduced the cooldown on weapon enchantments. It was removed with the 2h revamp because it was considered useless or unfit for the 2h tree by a lot of players. At the same time, though, a lot of players liked that perk and how it made 2h feel a bit different, having more effective use of weapon enchantments.

    So, how about a 360 AoE attack that has a 100% chance to proc your weapon enchantment on all enemies in range? That'd give a hell of a lot of utility to 2h, being able to proc disease or poison or burning on several enemies in melee range at once.

    Somthing that is not overpowered damage wise im all for it.

    This would be sweet to proc Cold for a slowing effect. This is somthing i would want to see. Nb's i don't think would use this but tank player's who run with a group could setup some mean CC for AoE.
