Maintenance for the week of November 18:
[IN PROGRESS] PlayStation®: EU megaserver for maintenance – November 19, 23:00 UTC (6:00PM EST) - November 20, 17:00 UTC (12:00PM EST) https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/668861
I've noticed that after traveling to a player, looking at the map, pointing to a wayshrine, the cost is significantly increased as if you've actually teleported to one.
One of the money making 'secrets' is not spending gold on teleporting. If you can't get there by 'travel to player' best to ride to the nearest wayshrine. Much better to drop that gold on speed training. At least from an economic perspective.

You can also travel to your guild members, regardless of where they are as long as they are using a character that is your faction. This does not apply however to guildies that are vet level and are in a different faction vicinity.
For eg: you are dominion, your level is 20 and you are in elden root. your guildie is dominion and lvl 30, and is located at marbruk. You can travel to him even though you dont have that area explored. It will port you to the nearest wayshrine.
Same goes for vet level; you can go to another faction's zone if you have unlock it through Cadwell silver or gold.
Thus, more guilds joined, more members, more free travel. Travelling this way also requires no prior agreement with the said player..
Hope this helps,
