    Why?

when i do damage or heal I see the bar decrease or increase that is all I need.

Actual Numbers will always be better, are you doing as much damage as other builds? Are you healing properly and at the right times to maximize heals? Are you Healing less then other healers?

And when you're in a big group 4+ it will get hectic you won't know if you're keeping up with your group in damage/heals/buff's.

As a casual gamer I don't want numbers, but I'm happy with a display option that permits it so others can do my theorycrafting for me.
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

I would hate seeing numbers appearing during a fight. SUrely there is an addon for that.

why does it have to be an addon? it should be a toggle, it's in almost all MMO's and for certain good ones.

I'm disappointed that there are no icons for the buffs on you — preferably circles.

as long as I can toggle the numbers off.
Sorry, I don't want to play Math Function.

You all want the numbers for the reason that you can figure out the most efficient way to do things (damage, earn xp, etc.) Just play the game and do what you like in it. In real life people don't say "I've only got 200 hp left, I really need to dodge because he's doing 750 damage with that attack."

Lets just be frank, the devs are lazy to add in damage and heal numbers in the ui, so the mod community had to pick up their slack. Outsourcing for free.

In real life I'm not saving the whole world from a Daedric Prince or just downing a health pot when I'm feeling low and instantly all good (I am a fan of Monster Rehabs tho :P )

I like knowing how much gas is in my car, how hot my engine is, what station the radio is on....I even push the handy dandy button to tell me how hot it is outside even though I already knew it was farking hot walking to the car and waiting for the ac to make it bearable :D

Options! There to make life easier for those who want them, completely ignorable for those who don't. No one is asking for those options to be forced on anyone (unlike those asking for them not to be there at all)
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

Face it people, ZOS is going to do nothing to improve the UI on console. PC has been out over a year and the UI is atrocious. They couldn't be bothered to add simple HP, dmg/dps , healing/HP's or buff/debuff info to the barebones UI. If you want those basic MMO UI functions you need to go to PC or a different MMO.

I find it amazing how much devs cop it on this website. Those dudes and dudettes have worked their butts off from the beginning. Priorities man.

maybe it's time for somebody to bring the pressure on in Quake Con and ask them about adding chat and damage numbers for consoles.

Then they're priorities are completely mixed, they updated the crown store more often then addressing some of the serious issues plaguing the game.
