Champion points and Veteran Ranks

So I've heard that Veteran ranks are being removed and that ZOS is in the progress of changing the system. Can anyone help clear this? Do we know anything as to the future of Veteran ranks? Also, are there a certain number of champion points you can get and can you get them all back like you can with skill points at the shrines?

✭They have delayed removing the veteran ranks, and are still considering it if they can find a way to remove them or replace them with something else. You start earning Champion Points at VR1, and there are a maximum of 3,600 that you can get. You can respec Champion Points just like you do skill points, except you don't need to travel to a shrine and it's a heck of a lot cheaper.0 -
JankH✭At first the plan was to remove them but now the max veteran rank is being increased to 16. Once we were told that it kind of tells us that veteran ranks won't be removed any time soon.PC EU0 -

Sykis✭They said the Vet system will still be removed and found that with how much it was embedded into all aspects of the game, that it was taking longer. Ref: quakecon panel.
They did say it would not happen until at least after Orsinium launches next Quarter, assuming the content release is on schedule as they discussed.0
