So... So far we have that it's daedric motif that's been dyed, a part of a set that's drop from a dolmen chest and that it's a costume dropped from dolmen chest... :-|

This confuses me a little since I'm not familiar with the rare motifs, is it actually possible that all of these are legit ways to get armor that looks this way? Or are some these just off base speculations?

It's a piece of the seducer set from a Dolmen chest. I got the spiky helm at around level 20 from a Dolmen chest.
not a costume.

Psst, people already discovered what it was on the first page... it's called "Encasement of Anguish" and it's medium armor. Based on another thread, it's probably a dark anchor drop, and therefore almost certainly daedric, but it has a unique appearance based on the dark seducer costume. (Dark Seducers are daedric.)

It's not a costume. Costumes cannot be dyed in the first place. It's definitely not dyed (the thread and screenshot are both from July 6, before armor dyes were introduced).

I've done almost all the quests, save those in craglorn and I never got anything like this from any of them, so it has to be froma dolmen.

There was a bright silver Seducer helmet posted on ESO Fashion that was from a chest as well, although I can't seem to find it now. This has to be one of the rarest sets in the game as I can find almost no info on it.

Ah yes! that's the helm I had, i got it about a week after launch and forgot that it was actually a drop, not from a chest, my bad.

I did just see someone today with the shiny silver version of the helm, so maybe a different set or just the same one dyed.

Reviving a dead thread:

I can confirm that it drops from a dark anchor boss. I got the VR2 chestpiece (Encasement of Anguish) from the Seducer Sisters at a VR2 anchor. It looks more like white to me, and is brighter than the brightest white I've achieved so far (Lamae's White).

I have found 2 of the Anguish set items a long time ago when my 1st toon went through Grahtwood
This set is a Chrome metal color and is the whitest armor you can get in the game that I have found so far.

I have found a lvl 22 Chest and Helm so far and looking to find legs and boots to match the....

Yea its a very nice set, I wish I had the pieces. I really like the coloring, and the shiny chrome look. Offering a color choice like that for a set of full plate would look epic. Also it is one of the few sets that allows a character with extensive tattoos to show them off.

This is a rare drop from the Seducer general in dolmens, it is called Encasement of Anguish. I got one gave it to a friend before I realised it was super rare and looked exactly like the seducer costume

This. Some people upgrade it to legendary for a better shine mesh. could be mundus blue dye or adamatine silver.

Do they drop from all dolmens? For AD, like malaba tor/reapers march/grathwood.
Will it still drop if im a vet in those areas or do i need to do dolmens in vet areas?

Both set items drop from dolmen chests after defeating certain generals.

I can only confirm that the "Torturers" drop this set in the second zone of your home alliance (Grahtwood / Stormhaven / Deshaan).
But there must be another general in the ~level 40 areas that also drops them (maybe "Seducers").

In the non-vet zones the generals are linked to a specific zone. So the Torturers will not spawn in Reaper's March for example.
In the vet-zones and Cyrodiil they spawn completely random - which also means the chance to spawn a specific general is much worse. But this set will still drop on vet dolmen from VR1 to VR10.

And like every other loot they will not drop anymore once your level is more than 5 levels higher than the level of the dolmen.

The seducer's costume isn't dye-able.

There are two rare drops from rare dolmen bosses: the Facemask of Anguish and the Encasement of Anguish. Both are dye-able, however their default colour (despite the item's icon) is that super-bright silvery-white.

They're in the guild stores sometimes, but they're rare, unique (only drops with this look), and are niche items, so be prepared for some hefty prices, if you happen to find any in the stores at all.
