Imperial City PvP access. Reliant on Cyordiil efforts? Really?

Am I dreaming? They finally introduce low scale PvP to ESO, but apply an access level?? So only when your faction has 6 towers may you enter, to do low number PvP? Is this a joke? I don't recall it being april. I seriously hope they will change how this works because this pisses me off. The Imperial City was what gave me hope for this game. Now it is all lost. I want my money back.

    Yea needing all 6 home keeps seems a little much to have to access the city but when PTS is up we can summit feed back about it and ask them to change it to something more reasonable.

    They haven't decided what the access requirements will be yet, and will be testing different options on PTS:
    • Access for all, all the time
    • Access if you own your 6 home heeps
    • Access if you own your 6 home keeps +1
    • Access if you own the majority of keeps

    My buddies and I are going to do the PTS. Is anything we should look for other than the normal bugs or ideas we could recommend during or after the beta? I really want to try to help fix any of these major issues during Beta to avoid having the rest of the gaming community suffer until the next major patch.

    I like the idea of it being tied to keeps - it might create incentive to defend the home keeps a bit more as well as ensuring that Cyrodiil is not desolate while everyone is in the Imperial City. We'll have to wait and see what happens on the PTS as it might be different in reality as well...

    EDIT: Remember that buff servers are being discouraged with Update 7 as well. You will only get buffs from the Campaign that you are in and also they are removing the Travel To Player so there should be less movement of player between Campaigns. Oh and they are increasing the cost to move mid-Campaign as well.

    Amazing!

    They finally announce Imperial City launch with a date and YET they still haven't nailed down the details as to how it will truly function.

    They throw at us a 100% loss penalty during an ESO Live (went over like a fart in church).

    They try to hype us up with "PvE withing PvP" ... translation: forced PvP.

    Maybe they should hire actual MMO developers to help them get through this mess.

    I love this game and I love Elder Scrolls. I just want good, true content that offers something that everyone can enjoy. Imperial City is not a balanced DLC and I am not sure many of the PvE players will suffer through this content until the next quarter until they get content.

    I think its an interesting idea as well but EP and AD both have buff servers to run around in but DC does not so that already posses the problem of getting DC players the new gear. Not to mention avoiding getting run over by the zergs and losing their hard earned Tel Var Stones. I admit I'm more than a little worried about the population of the Daggerfall Covenant and not just the PvP players but the PvE players as well.

    You need to consider that by the time that the map is like this evry single banana will be inside the IC and no one will stay outside to defend the keeps and it will be easy to regain your acces into the city
