It totally depends on what you're doing: are you wanting to skill-up quicker (use that trait), are you wanting to level quicker (use that trait), are you looking to maximise DPS (use that trait), do you want boosts to enchantments, etc.

1-50 I will start off with traits that boost skill-line increases so I get morphs unlocked and capped as soon as possible. When not needing that I may usually switch to enchant bonuses and maybe some extra DPS on weapons.

For 'hard' stuff like group content, if you feel the need, you can pile on the DPS/defense as needed but IMO it's over-kill to have a 'leveling' set and a 'dungeon' set until you reach high levels and have all skills/alternates capped.

A few levels back I put well-fitted on everything, meaning that (as a stamina build anyway) I could sprint pretty much indefinitely

I crafted a new set today and put different traits on... it feels like my poor little Khajiit has had his furry legs broken

I love 7 pieces with well fitted @ superior (blue) makes it seem as though I run forever.
As for weapons, use things that strengthen a weapons strong points. I don't see much point having 2% extra speed on a slow weapon. 2% of 100mph 102mph ... 2% of 25mph 25.5mph... that's how I see it anyway.

    Weapons? Sharpened sometimes Precise

Armor, Large Pieces Infused, Small Pieces Divines. I may run some Nirnhorned on some armor Pieces.

When Leveling, I run Training until I am in the 40's for that armor or weapon skill.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Interesting. Playing a lot of Diablo, I learned that weapon speed also equals DPS. Especially if you're stam based and focus on physical damage output. 5% weapon speed would also increase DPS. But I guess you wouldn't necessarily use a slow weapon in that case :p

But then again, several other traits also generate boost to DPS.

Thanks everyone! That helps me out a ton

If dual wielding, does it help to have two blades with training trait or is it the same as having one?

    2h is 84%
    One hand and shield 42%+42%
    Dual wield 42%+42%

I tested this on my DK. It stacks.

I've been wondering this for awhile now tbh so I'm finally asking lol

If you for example add a trait to increase armor or spell resistance or a trait to increase weapon damage do these traits influence your stats in Cyrodiil or like your gear's base stats are they ignored?

Self discovery is a great thing.
Make an armour piece with the reinforced trait and one without and test to see if your physical/spell resistance increases. Same with critical rating %. You can see if it makes any difference :) whilst in cyrodiil.
