Structured entropy or power surge?

They both give major sorcery but one heals u loads when u crit while the other heals you every 6 sec but for far less. Which do you find more useful (especially for pvp?)

Entropy costs a lot less than surge id go with entropy until the patch. they will reduce the cost of surge then.

Structured Entropy also increases your max health by 5% just for being slotted, as well as increasing your max magicka and magicka regen by 2% for being slotted if you have the right passives.

Power Surge (like any other ability in the skill line) also increases your spell power by 2% for being slotted if you have the right passives.

Which one you pick should be based at least partly on which of those you consider to be more important for your build. Also, if your build has a particularly high spell crit, Power Surge is going to be more useful to you than it would to someone with a lower spell crit. So really, it totally depends on your build. I'd generally pick Structured Entropy over Power Surge though.

I was thinking of coupling power surge with revealing light, which increases the crit by 20%. Maybe having it on my secondary bar and cast it right before releasing my proc crystal frags.

Entropy. Unfortunately they pretty much killed Surge, I only occasionally use it on my Overload bar now.
Surge has same buff, very pitiful heals(they have a cooldown now meaning if you do any kind of DoT - and if you're trying to do good damage you will be doing DoT - it's gonna steal your heals), and the magicka cost of Entropy is SO much lower it's not even funny:(

Entropy. Use it right before your ultimates for big damage. Spam it for heals. Use it for another dot. Better cost efficency. More dependable heal. Adds health and magicka.

Wait, what do you mean by that? Are you talking about a boost to the damage because of the Major Sorcery buff increasing your spell damage, and as a result increasing the damage your ultimate does (assuming it's scaling off your spell instead of weapon)?

Nah, it activates the Might of the Guild passive which has a 50% chance to increase the damage of your next attack by 20%.

Ultimates scale off of stamina or mana, whichever is higher.

That is just the spell damage bonus.
