*Children DLC. Coming to Crown Store soon* Sigh...
Hyperbole much? Jarring? Yes, I am so absolutely shaken to the core that there are no children in ESO.....
You people are just going to have to get over the fact that ESO does not, and will never have, children. It's disturbing, really, how many of you are all but begging to have children in a violent fantasy game.

jar·ring
ˈjäriNG/
adjective
1. incongruous in a striking or shocking way; clashing.
"the telephone struck a jarring note in those Renaissance surroundings"
It's strikingly incongruous that there are no kids in all of Tamriel. It would be strikingly incongruous in any setting if there were no kids in the entire world - especially if the world in question has been explored in other games/books.movies/whatever and kids were present then. Whether something is jarring or not has absolutely nothing to do with shaking someone to the core.
I been wondering this...Where are the children in this game? Skyrim at least had some kids running around, but I yet to see one child in any town. I would have loved to take out a zombie child in one of the towns that was affected.
Oh, so you were being sarcastic when you said I was using hyperbole? So you actually believe I'm understating it?Akavir_Sentinel wrote: »I see you don't understand what jarring means.Akavir_Sentinel wrote: »Most people who want to see children in ESO only want them to be there because of how jarring their absence is. It was sarcasm. Guess I'll have to use the /sarcasm tag just for you next time.

First, you would have the "immersion" and sociopath crowd that would be crying about not being able to kill them. Then you would have players who live in a perpetual fantasy world complaining about not being able to adopt children and have them follow them around or train them in battle. Then you would have players who would whine about not being able to create a child character to play. Then you have players who would strip down naked and dance/grind on children in towns.
Long story short, people in general are the reason why ESO does not, and will not, have children. It's far less of a headache for Zenimax to simply leave them out than putting up with all the crap that would be involved in having them in the game.

And you'd be wrong for the 1,000th time anyway. Age of Conan, an M rated game with FAR MORE T&A and gorey violence has unkillable children in its city hubs and they are even involved in certain quests. No one has sued Funcom over it nor have there likely been any complaints at all. The ONLY reason they are not in ESO is because ZOS chose not to use the resources to create them. Full stop.
Now they need to add them because it's creepy and weird to live in a world with no kids...even when, like me, you DON'T like them all that much.
If you had bothered to read farther down in the thread, I did list several reasons why ESO does not, and will never have, children.
We're not asking to be able to make a child player character. We want children NPCs, especially when it's one of the 63 "I've lost my son quests" and the son looks like he's 32.

It also wouldn't make any sense to strip down and grind/dance on child NPC's that are roaming around towns, but you know damn well there are players that would do it. Players like that are why we can't have nice things.
It's not unreasonable to expect children to exist in Tamriel. I personally am shocked how judgmental people are being towards those who are asking for this.
Sweet mother, sweet mother, send your child unto me.
