Dual wield swords for extra spell damage, what enchants?

We all know dual wielding gives bonus spell damage for casters, but what enchants are players putting on the weapons? Do any work without actually using the weapons to melee?

    It works, don't know why but it does. I'm getting like a 10 percent spell power increase with flame and poison enchants compared to my spellpower with my resto staff equipped.

    It doesn't. Just equip a pair of swords and you will understand. Also, master daggers work too.

    Just try it. Equip a staff, equip 2 swords of the same quality as the staff and compare your spell damage. It's a result of some changes they did in Update 1.6.

    Enchantments only proc on weapon skills and light / heavy attacks. So usually it's not worth enchanting them.

    Equip staff, check character sheet and look at spell damage. Then equip two swords. Enjoy.

    Back on topic of my question. Any enchant on the swords doesn't 'show' a increase in damage. How can you confirm?

    Just do the usual disease dmg for the heal reduction just in case you get close enough to swing at em

    What about the dmg bubbles? If they get close...hit em and gain a dmg absorbing bubble?

    It's only a 1k shield, not worth it

    Has anyone tested whether a glyph of weapon damage works to increase your spell damage when used this way? Maybe with weaving in a light attack here and there?

    What ever you put on your Daggers, just make sure they are two different Enchants. Or the Off Hand will never proc. Well, there is on DW skill that procs the off hand. But you got to hit something to get them to fire off, either with a regular or skill attack.

    My favs are Disease and Poison.
