Is there an addon that displays nodes, chests, and skyshards on your map?

Would love to see what others think before trying it myself. Good to see tho people are already developing addons.

It might for a future date. I am just wanting things before the game is 'technically' released.

It doesn't say that anywhere. Maybe has since changed?

@ErdoS‌ Considering the last time anyone spoke in this thread was before the official launch, most likely. Damn necromancers, bringing threads back from the dead...

The add-on is called HarvestMap and it works with/requires Esohead.

There's actually a site that has the node data, from other players. It'll let you upload yours and every day it batches the uploaded data together into a single node file. I can't remember the site, but I'm sure a google search will reveal it.

A player can take the daily batched node file and download it. It was tricky to make work, but it does work. You can see on your map all the nodes/chests other uploaders have used. You can also see it on your compass. But it doesn't say if the node is currently active or not. It just shows the approximate location that you/someone else who contributed to the data file, once found a node of particular craft (Blacksmith, Alch, etc.).

I don't think it's game-breaking, but I do suspect that node-farming teleport-bots are using something like it to get locations. -Again, something they would easily get some other way.

This is just my experience thus far. Recently, ESOhead caused me to not be able to log into the game. "an error occurred. Please try again in a few minutes" is what the error message I received. I had to delete the addon including HarvestMap since that requires ESOhead to work.

I have since switched to 2 other addons for map needs:
    Skyshards http://www.curse.com/teso-addons/teso/skyshards
    Lorebooks http://www.curse.com/teso-addons/teso/lorebooks

Unfortunately, I have not found a gathering/node marking addon yet. This at least covers the all important Skyshards and IF you want to collect all the Lorebooks you have that covered as well.

This is the only most relevant and searched thread for this subject. If it's a bit old then so be it. Going back on topic, I did try to put in the batched data for esohead/harvetmap but didn't work. So yea. Prolly woulda overloaded the map so i'm not too bothered by that. If there was an addon that showed only chests, that i would like.

I use SkyShards, developed by Garkin. It goes as far as to show all skyshard locations on your map, toggle whether or not you see skyshards that you've already acquired, and this addon integrates with my mini-map add-on [ZrMiniMap], showing shards whenever I come across them on my adventures. (Also features compass integration)

You do not need Esohead for Harvestmap to work (only when importing the old node file).

Ok...I want to get this straight because I have been on the fence with Harvestmap.

You do NOT need ESohead to use Harvestmap...correct?
If that is true, Do you still need the file from the ESOhead site to get the locations?
And if you do...Can you DL the file WITHOUT ESOhead?

From what I understand, ESOhead itself is just a tool by which to keep the info on the nodes and what not current and up to date. So basically, if I am to understand this correctly, you only need it to contribute data.

I made my own AddOn! It's simple to use and easy to install.

I created it using "paper" and you add items/nodes/chest/skyshards etc. to it with a "pen".
    :D

Here's a sample screenshot of my AddOn in action:

C - Outside chest locations (Also the ones inside open caves)
M - Mini anchors, aka dark fissures
. - Resource node locations (There are a LOT of these)
