They pay more attention than a lot of game developers even though sometimes they don't communicate it.
Sometimes too much, they have a vision for the game and should stick to it.
Have you ever tried to get info from Rockstar or tried to change their minds for example?

I don't know if they ignore everyone but just from reading peoples suggestion threads there is hardly andy response from development on anyones idea's i mean just take the crown store for instance not one item has been added to it the masses has asked for thats your proof and the fact everyone is always complaining about development doesn't care threads might be a indication also

No but i know for a fact dcuo has better communication with there community i mean they post back on a ton of ppl's suggestion threads and are even making things in the game ppl have requested like water powers for example ppl wanted it so they are making it but development here doesn't care

Presumably you are upset because they don't listen to you.

There are loads of suggestions on these forums on a daily basis. Some people go to great lengths in presenting their proposals - but in the end they are just what they want, not what the game designers want.

You see people work out elaborate details for how spell crafting or the justice system or crafting research timers could work, but it doesn't bear any relation to the reality of the game code.

Or to put it more simply: they can't implement everyone's pet mini-project.

It's not about what the game designers want it's about what the people that bought there game want after all we are the ones that are giving them money for it i mean if they wanted to create a game were they don't want to listen to the community why didn't they just create another single player elder scrolls game that's why it's call elder scrolls online it's a ever changing game with new updates and they should listen to the community that pays for there game

If you buy a car you can tell Ford that you really wanted that cup holder here, and they might listen but it's not going to be top of their priorities. Particularly if they get people saying "no, I want it there", others saying "I don't want it at all" and yet more saying "I didn't even get one".

Or to put it more simply: they can't implement everyone's pet mini-project.

But the real answer is most players are satisfied, a minority come here and cry all day and act like they are the majority... but it's not the case. If you look at the recent poll, 62% (over twice as many people) were happy and excited about the expansion. Only 20% were butthurt about it... But if you looked at the trending posts here? You'd have a different impression. Mostly because the same complainers are vocal and will continuously post their complaints over and over and over and chime in on every thread with the same drivel.

Honestly, General Discussion is more or less an echo chamber for your wailing. Cry it out, love. Cry it out. But most of us are happy with the game and happy with the developers.

A poll that only a minority of people answered?
How many of them are just casuals?
How many of them will make a character and never make it to veteran Rank 14?

How many of them are actual MMO vets?

Text Chat and MMO's go hand in hand, they're decision to omit it from the Console version is made out of pure ignorance.

Your joking right having text chat on console version is not a small problem it's a huge problem and should be treated as such not just act like the problem aint there by ignoring it and hopes it goes away they just don't want to address it because they are afraid of making console players left out and that would cutt into there revenue

Ok what you are saying there is they have better forum presence and communication at dcuo.
I will give you that one, although it has gotten better since Rich Lambert took over.

On your other point if you let people who buy the game design the game, (chicken or the egg?), the game would never
be finished as not everyone wants the same thing.

It is up to you the player to check out a game before you buy and decide if it is what you want or not.

lol the player the check out a game? MMO's and TEXT chat go hand in hand, I was also surprised they didn't include this when it's an integral and SOCIAL part of MMO's.

Yeah, but even if you stop believing, that it could still be true. And I believe it is true. I understand, that they can't make the game exactly how everbody want it to be. That is just simple logic. To assume, that tehy don't listen, because your wishes doesn't come ture is at least advanced logic. If it logic at all. They can listen and not doing what you suggest. That is both possible at the same time. The question should be: Why?
    Maybe your suggestions take time
Maybe your suggestions are not realizable
Maybe your suggestions are not the wish of the majoirity
    Maybe ...
    ...

Think about that! It is not allways the developers fault.

The game has been out for just over a year and in that time the development team has been more responsive, and made more changes to the game based upon player feedback than any team from any MMO I have ever played which is just about every game since UO was released in '97.

You have no clue what you are talking about.

Maybe because demands get you nowhere?

Maybe because it's the same things over and over and over again, and even when they do tell you about it, it's likely not the information that you want to hear, so you keep pestering and pestering even when they have answered you?

The devs of this game have only so many hours in the day. They can't respond to every single whim that players come on here and want.

Don't confuse non interaction with not getting what you want, please.

Maybe this game was not his style :)
I don't know what they did there with FFXIV, but this game is not for me too. I tryed it serval times. Maxed my charakter with 1 role(played 4 to over 45) and after Heavensward appeared, I tryed it again. Not my game.

At all games I played the devs were not as good as the devs here. Some from RIFT where quite good. But over all, this game have more interaction with the players.

From what I have seen from the short time I've been around here, is that a lot of suggestions that are made aren't exactly the best of ideas. Not to mention the sense of entitlement behind some as well. It doesn't take an expert or a developer to realize that some of these suggestions are best left as that: suggestions.

However, on the better ideas and feedback I have seen official posts within the threads. I think it's not so much that they ignore the communities suggestions as much as they know well enough to pick and choose what to follow. If you ask me, that's rather refreshing compared to some companies devs that try to listen to everything and take from it some of the worst ideas and mangle then even more so. Heck, then there are the companies that flat out don't listen at all.

Overall, I think they aren't doing so bad with the whole listening thing from what I've seen as a player that's been around the MMO block a few times.

Several things to consider regarding responses, ZOS only responds when they actually have something to add. They are very careful what they say or even throwing ideas or future plans on the forums because with all the little "laws" regarding franchising, anything they say could be used against them and of course if that isn't the case everything they say gets dissected and redirected back on the forums and taken out of contex to the point the ppl are misdirected about the info in the response. These are before you consider that ZOS has multiple social media platforms and only so many that they have in employee to monitor and answer questions. Also several questions are rehashed questions on one of these media site and they probably don't like repeating themselves. Just some food for thought.

I've played many MMO's in the past 15 years, and this has some of the better communication that I've seen.

Thing is though, it's not really worth getting worked up about because there's not much you can do about it.

I'm sure they have a team that constantly monitors the forums and reports back any large threads that have a large following. The developers have a difficult job with trying to keep the players happy but also keeping the game balanced as well as coming up with new ideas for content. I would rather have them doing their actual job instead of watching the forums all day.

Well, I have been here since beta. Still feels and plays like an Elder Scrolls title to me.

And always remember, it's an MMORPG set in the Elder Scrolls universe. Not Elder Scrolls VI.
