Of course, depending on what type of armour you're after, you need to raise the required skill. For example, for heavy armour you need to raise blacksmithing and mine the correct resources from around the world. There are crafting stations in almost every town so just check the map. There are also a bunch of YouTube guides on crafting gear, they'll tell you everything you need to know. gl bro

Screw mining. Just get to a level and steal what you need. I steal tons of stuff and just deconstruct it all at each of the level marks. I have stupid amounts of mats in my bank now.

Alternately, you can just grind away in PvE and you will not only find ores and skins during casual play, you will accumulate armor and weapons that you can periodically deconstruct for materials. Store the materials in your bank to empty out your inventory and do it all over again. Remember, all materials in your bank are accessible at every crafting station, you don't need to keep it all on you.

It should also be clarified - you can make sets of standard armor at any suitable crafting station, however there are special crafting stations hidden throughout the game that allow you to build named armor/weapon sets like 'Ashen Grip' and 'Death's Wind' that offer stat bonuses or unique powers depending on how many pieces of that particular armor or weapons you have equiped. For full stat and power benefits you need 5 pieces, but the bonuses start with 2 pieces. The caveat is that you need to have a minimum number of traits researched for each piece to be able to craft them. The lowest is 2 traits per piece and It goes all the way up to 9 for the 'best' crafted armor and weapons. It takes a ton on time to research each trait and the time increases for each trait you learn per piece or weapon.

I have been playing ESO for about a month now and have at least three traits for all my medium armor pieces researched with three pieces at five. You will need to either collect pieces while you play of the particular armor weight and type - like medium arm cops or heavy gauntlets - with the specific trait you need to research or you could join a guild and ask your fellow members to craft low-level armor and weapons for you with the traits you need. Either way, be prepared for a long process to get to a point where the research starts paying off.

That is pretty much the strategy. Just remember your going to be short on skill points while leveling to develop all 3 of these and combat skills on the same character. You may consider respeccing this character into a Crafter once you get past the Main Quest (so you have access to Silver and eventually Gold zones for farming. Then, all your alts will be nice and deadly with cool equipment to use.

I was going to respec my master crafter, but finally at VR14 I could put in all the skill points I wanted, well, most of them.

You can set up a nice two skill rotation for the combat you would encounter while farming, and some passives, then put the rest of the points into crafting.

You need 66 Skill Points to max out the Equipment Crafting lines (using only one point in Keen Eye), you need 123 for all crafts (no snakeblood and one point in Keen Eye in 5 crafts)
