Silver Leashing

ImMikasa
ImMikasa
So hey guy I want to ask a few of you a question about the fighters guild ability "silver Leash" the morph of silver bolt. So me and a few friends like the use of this ability to pull people off of ledges in pvp and to pull them up onto ledges to pick them off 1 by 1. So people have notice me and my friends use of this ability and started to report us for exploiting the game. I would like to know if I'm in the wrong for using the ability this way.

    GET OVER HERE !

Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

How would you know that people are reporting you? As far as I know it is acceptable however it might be changed in the future like Fiery Grip to not allow these things.

By voice they told me we were being reported. It all started when my friend took the emperors spot overnight and he's upset about it. Most of us are top in chillrend currently

someone taunting your about a report over voice chat is not the same as ZO paying any attention

to many ways to cheat in game, so if you think u might be cheating, most likely u are, not always though.

not to worry, no one pays attention to who is top and who's not in pvp anymore.

Well I know I'm not cheating but others think I am. Not trying to get character banned tbh. Only thing I can say is "cheating" would be the camo hunter stack

How could anything be considered "cheating" although you're using a skill that does what it's supposed to? If there would something be "wrong" with that skill, it's only up to ZOS to fix it, not up to you not using it.

Even if you aren't using it as an intended exploit, it's probably unintended and needs to be fixed. DK chains used to be able to pull players off of keep walls and pull players onto keep walls, then they removed that ability from it. Silver Leash is no different. It needs to be changed for the same reason they changed DK chains.

Let me rephrase what I said on camohunter. I feel it's extremely cheap since its low cost of stamina and you can 1 shot anybody within the time it's up

Its not your fault also if the skill does that, its the game mechanics. Send a bug report about it and have ZOS look at it if you think its OP or needs to be reviewed.

I pull and get pulled from walls quite regularly in pvp via chains. The only difference from silver leash in that respect is the range, and that it requires the target to be undead/daedra/werewolf according to the tooltip which I haven't tested.

Let them report you. Fact of the matter, even if you were exploiting, ZOS does not hand out bans for PvP.

Ok, I see what you mean, I'm not using this or the other skill myself, so I didn't know until now (and I don't do PvP). But.. it's still up to ZOS to fix it, all you can do is using it or not. But it's not cheating, it's how they (apparently) programmed the skill. :)

Silver leash should behave like the DK skill fire chains AKA scorpions chains or GET OVER HERE ! But maybe not from what you're telling us cause I tried to pull with chains and says to high or to low so silver leash probly isn't effected like chains is and well I can see why. Leash is kinda a dust skill you know a skill no one uses cause it sucks so it's just on the weapons rack collecting dust and IMO the reason is cause of the whole CC immunity so it stops the secondary effect of it the whole pull and damage stuff plus shards hitting 2 more targets is great for vet dungeons with all the daedra.

But what I heard is that ZoS knows leash kinda is on the low end and is getting buffed in 7 IDK if it's cause CC immunity is getting reworked or something but in 7 leash should be alot better and hopefully follows chains rules too s we don't have every single player scorpioning every one off keeps.

If you are on PC don't worry, ZOS doesn't ban for PvP exploits (if they fixed them faster I could understand this).
If you are on console you will get a message from your respective company letting you know you have been reported. You can contact them to explain the situation, which is really a ZOS problem, and all will be fine.

How the heck do you get this skill to work? It knocks down undead/daedric enemies on first hit, giving them CC immunity for the duration of the second attack(which is supposed to pull them to you). In other words, it's broken. Or does it work with perma-blocking PvP people who avoid first knockdown that way? But then doesn't block also prevent the pull?

It's a cheap tatic tbh. If a enemy's feet is above my head and I can pull them down a hill then they'll die

Hits on vamps and werewolves in pvp. Need the passive for werewolves as well. Just spam it 3 times on a enemy and they'll be pulled unless they break quick enough

With the adendum that: being too ignorant of game mechanics to understand how to counter a given skill is not the same as being powerless to prevent it.

Of course, arguably, you're powerless to prevent green dragon blood... so... that definition might have some issues.

no joke? Silver bots becomes "silver leash" like the DK chain power?

    cool... might invest in that.

Yeah, the morphs are Silver Leash or Silver Shards (I think). The former will latch onto an enemy and then you can yank them to you by triggering the ability a second time. The other morph will cause the bolts to explode on impact hitting nearby enemies. Your choice on that, since they're both really cool.

But...I'm confused. I haven't tried it in PvP but what's the difference? Hm...actually I'm not really sure how it works, when do players gain CC immunity, when being CC'd or when breaking out(meaning they can be CC'd nonstop in a row if they don't break out?)?
