What NVIDIA Drivers Are You Using For A GTX970

I keep getting a black screen only when I am at a dolmen. I use to have a GTX680 but I've been using a new GTX970 for a while now. My drivers are 344.65 but did some research and saw where ESO players had issues with newer drivers. So anyone running a GTX970 and if so what drivers are you using? I also run dual monitors and my main monitor is HDMI. Some have said that I need to go back to DVI but I had the same problem with DVI so the new monitor can't be the issue. I get the following error message in windows when it goes black:

Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

I changed the game to run in XP SP3 instead of just letting it pick. Not sure it is a fix though but it was recommended. I run Win 7 64bit Professional for my OS. My NVIDIA power settings are max performance on the power and use 3D application on the VSYNC.

    I'm using a stable v347.52 drivers on my 780ti's.
That said I agree for this game, the fall 2014 to may 2015 drivers seem to give least troubles.

Edited to say, yes, Win7 Prof. Two monitors. Ultra to high settings.
I use MSI afterburner as Nvidia software s.u.x.s.

Try a new cable to connect. If not monitor, then either try dvi output on gpu, dvi on mobo output or as mentioned a real nice cable. Either that or your gpu is not liking its load.

I use the current 353.50 drivers and everything is fine here. I don't usually run on both monitors though.

I only run the game on my HDMI in window full screen. I ran DVI before with the same issues. The only constant is the driver but it only happens to me in Greenshade and no other zone. It's a crazy bug for sure. I am going to try a newer driver I guess as I don't think forcing it to run as XP SP 3 is the answer. Just the monitor my game is on goes black. The other monitor is fine.

I have tried other cables, other monitors, other cards and still Greenshade zone will black screen on me every time I hit a dolmen.

TDR's (which is the error you're describing) occur from unstable clock speeds virtually always if it was previously working properly without any hardware changes happening. Check and make sure that your GPU's fan hasn't stopped working, that everything's dusted out well, and once you've verified that try lowering your clocks slightly (on a GTX 970, I'd recommend 50mhz on the core and the memory by 100mhz DDR (200mhz QDR) and see if it's still doing it. If so, you can probably rule out, most likely, any hardware failure and know you have a fairly solid base to troubleshoot from there. As far as nVidia's drivers specifically, I haven't had any issues or heard of any ESO-specific ones to date.

Personally, and this is to provide some anecdotal feedback, I've used nearly every new driver from them for the GTX 970 cards I own in SLI since their release last year :). This has ranged across a 2560x1440 IPS-type panel at 115hz, to a 4K panel at 60hz, then back to the 1440 screen and finally landing on the monitor I settled on, an Acer XB280HK which runs 4K natively with G-Sync, as well as a couple of weeks' worth of using Windows 10 (I rolled back over to Windows 8.1 because I had some errors, which ultimately turned out to be a dying RAM module after checking with memtest86+ on a bootable USB flash drive.... after getting the replacement under warranty, it's been smooth sailing since).

Exploits suck. Don't blame just the game, blame the players abusing them!

Yeah system is clean, fans working etc. It only happens in Greenshade which is what drives me nuts.

353.54 driver with windows 10......GTX-980. No problems here. I let GeForce Experience take care of my settings....that works fine also.

I'm using the Khajiit 9000 series Razum dar Orangina Over clocked edition cards. They never need new drivers.

@Attorneyatlawl, Do you have an NVIDIA profile you can share? The one you set up under 3D settings > Program Settings? I have always run the default except for the power management and vsync. The fact this bug only happens on regular level character in Greenshade only makes me think it isn't me but I am willing to try a few things and see if it helps the Greenshade issues.

I am running MSI Afterburner just to keep tabs on everything (No I don't overclock) and tested some changes on the clocks. Still crashes on the regular level characters. My vet from EP can go to Greenshade and has no issues what so ever. My temps don't go above 69C so it isn't a temp issue either. Since this is the zone that completely quit working a while back for over a week I am thinking there is still some bad code hanging in there.
