Dragonknight & Sorcerer - Current State

Hey, I've been playing Imperial DK (EP) for over a year ever since launch. I ofcourse also played other classes. NB up to 48lvl, Templar 44lvl and Sorc just a few levels to get an idea of each class before I decoded to go with DK. Since then I've gone through several high lvl characters (vet) only to make a different class, I deleted most of them - to keep the same name on every character. Now the thing is:

Right now I have a vet Imperial DK which I tbh find both less fun and entertaining but I've tried Sorcerer again after a year and it seems like it fits me the most, right now I'm playing this Sorcerer for a couple days and I really like it over DK. Before anybody tells me to play both: I don't do that - I can't play two at one time. I usually create a bond to each character so only that one character is my main and not 3 chars treated as mains and 4 chars as pack mules.

So I also wonder what's these two classes current state? Meaning that what do they excel at, what are their weaknesses etc.

Thanks

There's no reason you shouldn't keep several characters. I have a nightblade that has always been my one "main", I always go back to that character and spend more time on it than others, but you'll inevitably be burned out and want to pay a different class for a while. When that happens, I've got my sorc, dk, and templar waiting.

As for the current state of the classes, it hasn't really changed much. Dk's are the toughest class with the most utility. Sorc are one of the squishiest classes (sans shield stackers) and have extremely high burst damage. Templars are still the best healers, and nightblades still work best for stamina, weapon based damage.

Yeah, I suppose I will keep my DK for sure, not gonna close up on him. Tho right now I'm working on my new sorc, power leveling crafting, leveling horse etc. You're right that I will always at one point want to play some other class so there is no need to delete my current main for that reason.

I would say that the Number one thing DK's excel at is surviving, and maybe their worst aspect is group healing (not very positive on this one).
Haven't played sorc enough to comment.

    Leave Sorc out.

Thanks to cheaters who employ shield bugs that somehow don't ever get fixed (or the offenders perma-banned), sorcs keep getting nerfed and this also kills their PvE viability.
