To be honest, I've all but quit playing due to the OPness of NBs in Cyrodiil. It's ridiculous and I have much better things to do with my time than to try to deal with one class that has uncounterable abilities, like fear and cloak.
The only examples given so far are essentially impossible to do all the time. Cyrodiil has become a gank-fest, not a battle between factions but a Nightblade free-for-all. No thanks, other games to play.
well if you are getting ganked from a stealth stamblade on a horse then it is what it is, that is exactly what they are built for.
I will mark the location on my map when I respawn then run back.
If I"m on my DK i just make sure I have wings up constant as I search the area.
If I am on my templar I have my trusty sentry set to find those buggers.
If I am on my NB I will be patient and wait for him to try to gank someone else and show him a beating afterwards.
If I am on my sorc then shield stack and clanfear (who tends to attack in close range to detected people) and of course bolt for CC and escape.
They have counters, albeit you kind of have to play against their strength which means dying to them first

If i do manage to survive they immediately cloak and despite me using both cloak + a detection i can never find them until they attack me with a focused aim or surprise attack.
Is there actually any viable counter to nb's or are we all just going to accept death as theirs cloaks getting buffed next patch.

I try and hit them with my car while they are chasing mice.....
In Cyrodil, I let someone else hit them first and then Jesus beam them to the face....

i feel bad for templars next patch, no stam regen when blocking and jesus beam being nerfed.

NB = assassin. If an assassin can't kill people fast enough in the dark then thats a dam fail one. Also, nobody forces you to ride a horse, you can just sneak and walk which is 99.99% guarentee no gank on ya.

Nobody wants to sneak everywhere just to avoid being snipe-spammed to death by NBs.

You can be snipe spammed or at least quick shotted by any class, especially when you run around like "here i am" targets. So please keep in my mind that most of the time when you get surprised , you are responsible for this.
If you roam like elephants deal with the consequence.

Not even remotely accurate. A high health, heavy armor Templar is the Night Blade's worst nightmare. Once most NBs 1st attack gets dusted off with a few breath of lifes, their only options left are to die or run for the hills. If you have rapid maneuvers on then their option becomes just death.
Honestly any 1 on 1 fight between people of remotely similar levels that lasts over 20 seconds should be won by the Templar.

fear.

What he said.
Stamblade here, squishy as hell. They only way I'm killing you is when you're not paying attention. CC me, and I blow all my stam trying to break free, pop a potion (yeah right, one day pressing the button might actually drink the pot) and trying to GTFO.
If you're the fat kid running to catch up with your group, we're after you, if you're on siege and juuuust a ways away from your group, you're our target. Reading your map? We'll help you with that! Did you just jump your mount off the keep wall and took some fall damage... oh man, we're not going to even need to use Soul Harvest.
If I jump out of nowhere and don't have your health down to execute range almost immediately, I start to worry. If you heal and start to get away, I should be running (I should take my own advice) If you find me before I'm ready to wail on you, that's bad.
Survive the initial burst and you can Rocky IV your way out of it.
