Help with my Fire DK equipment Please

So i'm coming up to the two digit vet level and i'm going to start planning my future equipment.

My Dk is magicka with a dest staff (primary) + S+B (secondary) and it going to use a 5 piece light set, though i'm not sure how important magicka regen is on a fire dk build for pvp.

Crushing Shock + Medium weave is my main source of damage, but need to constantly use Scales and sometimes Flame reach.

Currently i use the apprentice for the 5k spell penetration (not sure if this is going to be needed after the next patch), i'm trying to figure out if i should switch to atronach. Is 1500 magicka needed on this type of build or will 1000~ suffice? (if i go atronach)

I'm currently looking for a vet 10 tri stat food so i can have 12k stamina as well as magicka/health buff.

My current equipment idea is:

Head - martial/adroitness
Shoulders - torug
Chest - martial
Pants - martial
Boots - adriotness
Gloves - martial
Waist - martial

Neck - adroitness
Finger - cyrodiils light
FInger - cyrodiils light

Weapon - torug - sharpened/nirnhorned

Weapon + shield - torug defending?

Not sure if i'll have enough sustain, also as it's hard to find a group for pledges on ps4 my undaunted is only level 4.

Are you planning on being v14 in the next month or two? If you're going to hit max level by the time the next major patch hits, I do not recommend light armor. You'll want 5 heavy 2 light or 5/1/1 to take full advantage of undaunted passives.

like you said, you are only vr4. My advice would be to grind as fast as you can to vr14 and then get the set. Save the dungeons gold keys and open the chest when you are vr14, you will get about one shoulderpiece for every 3 keys you have i think

In the meantime i would just go with a crafted seducer set (5/5) and a vr1 warlock set (neck 2 rings, robe and shoulders)

the sets you really want make a difference at vr14

the medium chest and destro staff i have in nirnhorned because without i took far to much damage.

For pvp i use the set that drops in darkshade caverns (engine guardian) because it procs a lot and gives magica and stamina and health. Normally in dungeons you dont need stamina or health so i dont use it in those. But for pvp with all the dodgerolling i find it works really well
the necklage i enchanted with a extra armor (physical resistance glyph) because people use steel tornado and wrecking blow a lot. I noticed the difference right away.

in pvp i use flame reach, crushing shock, fire scales mainly and support skills like rapid manouver, purge, green dragon blood
so very much like what you use

Unfortunately v16 will probably be the new cap by then.

@leepalmer95 My suggestions, take a look HERE for an idea of what you should be shooting for BUT don't focus so much on your gear atm cause it's subject to change drastically very soon. Focus on leveling to v14 like others have said and prepare yourself with extra gold and mats for the next patch.

Once IC hits the PTS in a week or so, the hardcore testers will slowly release build updates. Pay close attention to that feedback an incorporate the changes. Right now it is simply not worth fretting over what gear you have or wasting your gold.
