Droprates: Abysmal. Found three in 15 months of playing.

Yeh about the same as Leandor up there. Found 3 total, been playing since Beta.
It's truly the rarest motif in the game right now. The good part is, it's not gated by level like Daedric, Primal etc. It can drop in any zone.

I only found one, during release week when they had the same drop rate as any Blue Motif. I have not seen one since and had to buy the two I used.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I hate to sound like *that* guy, but I just got one today. After playing for 5 weeks.

I have the imperial package, which means I can change things to Imperial, but not craft with Nickel. I figure I could also create an Imperial character that I craft armor & weapons with, and in that case the Imperial motif is just a duplicate, right? As in, it would only allow a non-imperial to do exactly what an Imperial character does crafting-wise, correct?
I'm on xbox NA and not sure what I should do--not even sure if I should sell it. Aside from letting me craft with Nickel, what else does it do for me that would mean I should keep it? Just achievements or something?
The funny thing about this is, I ran around grabbing a bunch of junk out of dressers, containers, etc., and was doing it so fast (fighting enemies in between) I didn't notice when I got it. Just saw it in the inventory afterward, and not until I was at the bank dumping, and it wasn't even stolen!

You're right, if you create an imperial char, you will be able to craft that style out of the box. This char, if you use all other motifs on it, will also be able to get the craft style achievements without using the book.

So for Imperial Edition, if you have an imperial crafter, it makes most sense to sell it.

thanks, now I just need to decide if it could sell on xbox for enough gold to make me not regret selling. Kind of sounds like I could end up not getting another one for a year or more.

The first one I sold on PC, I sold for 100k and that was when the game was running for almost 10 months. I would hazard the guess that on consoles, you will have prices around 150k, but check the guild traders first.

Hey, you know what? I never thought about that. Darn it, I should have made my crafter an Imperial. Thanks for this input. Darn it. Now I feel silly.
