So is there a way to put symbols on everyone in the group?

SkepticalGlenn
Only my group leader has that crown symbol, which makes it super easy to find him and not lose track. But is there a way for him to put symbols similar to that on all of us? In WOW you could. I was just wondering because it really helps with finding eachother and keeping track of where we are in a battle. I'm on xbox one btw.

    Don't think you're able to.
PC users might be able to as they have the ability to use addons but not entirely sure about console players. I may be wrong.
Not as Technical as you may think.
You don't die for your country, you let the other bast*rd die for his.

On PC group members have a little carrot over their head. Not sure about XBone.

I would like this also, plus the ability to put symbols over enemies especially in dungeons. Plus they should add icons to the groups bars on the left to indicate who's tank, healer and dps ect on the console of course.

Yea It seems like an oversight. There's a ton of times where I can't see where my teammate is because he has a little arrow over his head, but he's 400 feet away and it's so small you can't see it. Which is why i'd like it to appear on the compass. Also I wish I could see a numbered health bar and the number of damage i'm doing when I hit an enemy :/

Personally, I'd love to see role icons.

I've taken to queuing as a healer and DPS. It'd be nice to be able to tell if there was another healer in the group so one of us could switch to DPS if we felt so inclined.

Um... don't you guys talk to each other? I do tend to group with folks I know, but there's always a conversation about skills, tactics and so on when we get started. Then some last min adjusting of skill bars and the like.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

Not so much....I've only run a few instances, and there was no mic usage. Well, aside from the "hey, are you coming to the dungeon"). But that seems to be the way pugs work in the other mmo I was playing. Group up, get through, leave...with as little interaction as possible.

Which is weird. Still....it could be the lack of a chat box on the console version, people seem to be less shy if they can type instead of talk.

Keep in mind I'm still leveling...so the content (as far as I can tell) doesn't need much in the way of strategy - and players should've picked up the basics by now (stay out of the red, kill anything that moves).

Yeah, FTC does that. Tanks get defaulted to red, healers to purple, DPS to brown. It also shows the class icon and gives you their exact hitpoint count. Which is still great for messing with newbies when you can tell them exactly what their current HP is and what their current buffs are.

On PC you got only 2 icons (crown and regular chevron) that can be replaced (by specifying a new tex file), but group leader will always have a specific icon and all other players a non discriminative one. No work around possible.

But on console only group leader gets an icon, and it makes losing track of eachother if you get more than 10 feet away very easy.

Group members do get the chevron above them just like on PC, at least on PS4 they do.

But that would mean actually talking to each other and who wants to do that? It's 2015. We stopped talking to each other years ago. Besides, your voice is SOOOO annoying!

Yea but I wish those chevrons would appear on the compass, that's my main issue. That chevron is suprisingly good at blending in with the environment. haha. As of right now the only person that appears on the compass is group leader. I guess that's better than nothing though.

This is one of the best ideas in long long time. Just like Role icons could have a huge impact to the game.
