(And before anyone wonders, no, no one has that much gold. I've not heard of someone testing the 9-digits on NA PC just yet in raw gold, but that doesn't mean EU hasn't :p).

Gold is useless at-least to me if I really want to buiy anything I just go out and kill and steal from a bunch of npcs, and all is well.

Makes me like a cold heated bandit, with the amount of money you can get form sniping people and robing them if you really want the gold or just for kicks.

I predict my orc in the end getting the most wanted status on and off if the pvp element of the justice system ever goes live.

The only time I use potions is in veteran DSA, the other stuff (dungeons/trials) I only use food. Much cheaper.

I'm a very money hungry person when it comes to making money. I can never have enough. I've been making money since my currect character's 30lvl and for the past 2 weeks I've only been able to get to lvl 48. I just couldn't stop making money, now I'm at 900k having nothing to buy so I donate to my guilds often.
And at this point yes I feel like gold is useless and somebody nicely mentioned it above:

Hey, I'm seeing people talk about the triple stats potions.

I just got my alchemy to 50 and started crafting some of them (on PS4). Since there is no one selling any of them in any of my guilds, I was wondering, what are the normal prices for them? I'm currently trying to sell them at 1k each (that's for the stam+ / weapon power / weapon crit, since i'm keeping the magic and restoration ones until I have enough for my desire), in small stacks of 5 (so 5k for 5 pots). Is it a reasonable price? too high? too cheap? I have no idea.

    Thanks

    No.

You need already a lot of gold for getting your bank to 240 and your inventory to 110 at least for once, in addition you need it for mats, occasional reskilling and to buy the "good" gear (VR 14 necklaces and rings). This multiplies/accumulates as more chars you have. If you are a provisioner recipe hunter like me, you don't need other gold sinks.
Sometimes the prey turns and nips us... it's a small thing.

At least 8 digits (10M+) work perfectly fine.

I mean we have been trying to score a trading stand since the PS4 release and I have no freaking clue what these things must sell for because 100k still wont get you a stand in Wayrest.

last I checked, good trading posts go for a couple million gold per week.

At level 28 gold value in my eyes is realities low in comparison to crafting upgrade materials. That's about the only thing I use gold for now that I have upgraded the crap out of my bags and bank. Being very picky about my gear, I like to keep it shipshape. So whenever my gear is about to break, I just craft a new set rather than repair it.

Whenever I do find myself in need of gold, a few rounds around my favorite thieving spots and I am good to go for a while.

Other than that... no, not much use. Unless I wanted to waste it on motifs, etc. that I don't 'need'.

Anyone else feel that money is pretty useless in this game?

Nope. And having had (and currently possessing) more gold and valuables than most people who have ever played the game... I've still yet to think, "Man, I can't find anything good to use this towards soon." For the first 4 months or so of the PC launch in 2014 I can confidently say I was in the top 10 if not better, of wealthiest players in the entire US megaserver. I'm lower than that now, but... I'd be very shocked to learn that even after a 6 month or so break from health problems over the winter, I'm not still (after making my way back up) in the top 50. This isn't to boast or brag, but to provide an honest perspective and back up where I'm coming from in saying "Nope" :).

Theorycrafting isn't cheap, as my coinpurse can attest firsthand :p.

hi, any idea what top 10 of wealthiest players currently have? I guess most normal pc players that have been around have about 4 million now

I used to know a guy that had around 80 million but he was banned....
I also know someone that was going for the 100 million mark but i have not seen him around lately

There was a guy that made 3 million in 1 day when the perfect roe /ambrosia /recipes came out. Gets you a craglorn trader for 2 weeks xD

Where did that number come from? I have been here more or less since launch,,,got 80k in the bank, and still need 370k to fully upgrade my bank.

4mill is not "Normal". I know some compulsive traders that have been around for a long time, and have that kind of money.

Granted, they prob. have double that allowing for the gear they hold in their bank to sell as well....

Once I decided to make money, I got a million in a couple of months fairly easily.

Competitive end-game PvE stam DPS gear example:

    5x Ravager (100k-150k/piece):
    64k to make Legendary
    2x Morag Tong (150-200k/piece)
    40k to make Legendary
    5x Hunding
    (124k to make legendary)

Not including purple mats or lower, not including crafter's fee is you can't make/upgrade the sets yourself.

    So there's that.

Hahaha! Like I said I looked up and did notre see any of those for sale, so I had no idea what price to set. Looking at the prices of lower level ones, I just set it there.

This is exactly why I'm asking. What's the normal resonable price for a panacea of weapon power, with crit power and stamina recovery?
