Quests Rewards

Maybe I'm unlucky as hell, but everytime I get a reward from a Quest (well, not maybe every single time, but about 95% of the time), it's something that the character I'm doing the Quest with doesn't use :/
I'm getting bows or staves when I'm playing my heavy-armored Dragonknight, and of course heavy armor when playing my light-armored Sorcerer :p

I'm not complaining or anything, as I have alts I can still use those rewards, but I'm just wondering out of curiosity, are the Quests rewards completely random, fixed in advance depending on the Quest, is it on purpose that we don't get "usable" stuff, or am I just really unlucky ?

each quest has a fixed reward based on the actual quest you play. e.g. look at the following quests:

http://uesp.net/wiki/Online:Eyes_of_Azura This quest will always reward the player with a healing staff

http://uesp.net/wiki/Online:Lost_in_the_Mist This quest will always reward the player with a light belt.

So it is NOT being unlucky, the rewards are fixed.

small note: there are a few major quests that are exceptions. For example at the final quest for the fighters guild, you can choose a weapon from 4 different types. The reward for the final quest of the main quest line depends on a very important choice you make halfway that quest. But those are exceptions to the system.
Through me you pass into the city of woe:
Through me you pass into eternal pain:
Through me among the people lost for aye.

Ah ok, thanks for the answer !

So I guess it's just some kind of twisted perception that I had then, just like we think that the slice of bread ALWAYS falls on the jam side :D
