If you could change ONE thing about the Justice System (as is right now), what would it be?

1.Add in more elements to create a thievery feel. (right now being a thief is not something that requires a whole lot to play) One idea to promote this: add in suspicion to an NPCs AI. If they see someone sneaking nearby, they will turn and look at them, and if it a character is in sight when they are in range to activate stealing from any source, the NPC will walk over and give some sort of witty remark or some-such. (which could pave the way for group thievery as one person would pose as a distraction to lure people away from areas). Makes thievery something where you think about your approach. Sneaking in plain sight then everyone turning a blind eye doesn't make for an interesting way to be a thief.

2.The ability to steal from all sources without sneaking, the success chance of it being based off of both ones legerdemain and RNG. Such a perk in Legerdemain would likely be called 'Misdirection'. With it, even in plain sight, you can steal quietly and subtly, but it will inherently have a larger risk than stealing while sneaking.

    3. Make killing people more rewarding. It seems like there's very little incentive to do the riskiest form of thievery, the rewards being almost the same as pickpocketing. Make killing someone equivalent to picking an advanced lockbox in terms of rewards.

Just... a bit more than ONE thing I would change. If I could choose which I'd want though, I'd go for #1.

I think there should be a % chance of being able to bribe the guards. Base it off of your legerdemain skill (maybe even add a passive to boost your chance.)

Have a conversation path when a guard stops you where you can try to initiate a bribe. If it fails, your bounty increases by a modest amount. If it succeeds, you get a lighter bounty.

Want the Enforcer portion of the system to be implemented, so my character can hunt down and either arrest or annihilate criminal scum.

I want an option to not having to kill NPCs when they attack you for catching you at a crime. Like, say, instead of attacking, they should initiate a dialouge, where you get a chance to appease them... "here, take it, just lemme go..." and "Uhm, I wasn't trying to steal it, I was just picking it up for closer inspection..." or "can't we say I drop this bag of gold and the guard never hears of this... misunderstanding?" (with different chances of success...)

Consequently I'd also like the bounty for murder raised quite a bit. Right now it seems wierd that stealing an apple and killing the mayors daughter nets one only minor differences in bounty...

I simply want more options with guards. Bribing sounds good but being able to stun them if not outright kill them back should be possible.being unusable to use doors and transitions while guards are after you also make some situations completely bs to get out of.

I wish there was a greater chance to find epics while pickpocketing or opening up lockboxes. I've found lots and lots of blues, but never any purple items. I could imagine it being a skill you work your way towards as you level up legerdemain.

I like the Justice System as is/No change
Woops, clicked the wrong one. :expressionless:
    • PVP enforcers
    • Stealable items with real visuals and a place to display them
    • Prevent stealing things by accident (ie close to the writ crates)
    • Houses used for unrelated quests shouldn't be locked.
    • A better approach to the bounty system, including alternative ways to pay it off (working in a mine for example) and a more noticeable impact on the world when getting caught
    • Daily quests similar to the Skyrim Thieves Guild jobs
    • While you're at it, Thieves Guild.
    Wololo.

I wish you could trade the items you stole to other players. The rare few purple items that i COULD have fenced to sell to other players interested in the RP value they may provide is not possible.

Instead its a 100% solo experience that yeilds gold. As it stands the time spent on the addition of the justice system seems like wasted time to me.

I always carry around a Sacred Inkwell of Marukh the Seer for good luck.
If only it actually did something other than take up an inventory space.

I think my current endgame is finding a Shard of the Ideal Masters. Again, just to carry around and not do anything cool like it probably should for being so hard to find.

Scrap it, it's a total waste of time and farcical in reality .. seeing players crouching in full view of bankers and not getting caught, seeing the streets of cities covered in the corpses of murdered civilians (not even victims of the facile PVP faction war but murdered by their own 'side') .. just a couple of the most fatuous aspects of this ridiculous system.

Tbh, I am just waiting / hoping for the implementation of the second part. Other than that, I would wish for an option to prevent stealing, yes.

I think that it's too easy to steal in most areas. The NPC's are just too blind and stupid. Stealing shouldn't be so easy, but if you make stealing harder, then the rewards should be greater.
