PS4: Imperial Motif - SALE PRICE?

DeathByMugumbo
How much would someone pay for the Legendary, Golden Imperial Motif.
Just looted one, wasn't even looking for it but there's not a single one on any guild trader, and single Dwemer Motif Pieces are selling for like 20k...

In the scale of things it's worth 5,000 crown points, which is like $60 AU. Legit how much gold would you expect from someone if you gave them $60....

Also; I heard that with the DLC imperial motif, you can't trade the items you craft, however, the looted one allows you to trade the items you have crafted in that style.

If you buy the Imperial Motif from the crown store, as far as I know you CAN trade the items you craft. If you purchase the Imperial edition and "morph" items into Imperial-style, you can't trade those (they become bound), but as far as I know you can still trade items if you play an Imperial character and make a crafter out of them.

The motif from the crown store cannot be traded on its own (can't buy it then give it to someone), but it can be used immediately. Looted imperial motifs require you to have a certain amount of skillpoints into a crafting skill (blacksmithing, woodworking, or "tailoring")--which is one reason why you're not going to see them going for the amount of "gold" you might think $60 is worth. Regardless, these things are not tradeable for real-world cash so it doesn't matter (unless you're going through some shadier routes that could get your account banned...or trading with friends for some ridiculous reason).

Edited to note that I think they go for somewhere around 40K but I don't know for certain. I could be wrong, I've just never searched for one to buy nor needed to sell one. Edited again to note that this is PC price that I've seen.

I sold one last week for 44k gold.

Some players running the minion add-on merchant program said that several had been sold in previous days; one for 50K, and one for 52K.

Despite trying for four days to get closer to 50k, it wasn't happening, so I finally sold it for 44k, and I was happy with that.

There were also several players who jumped into the discussion saying on trade guilds it was down to 25K, give or take a few thousand either way, and in other places it was below 20k.

So, there was a very wide range of opinions on the price, and you just have to be lucky to find a buyer who doesn't question a high price because he knows what he's buying and he wants it.

    Good luck.

Another note, I sold mine on the PC.

I didn't see that you were asking for a PS4 price. And that could be totally different, of course.

I was browsing one of my trade guilds histories other day and saw one sold for 80k (ps4). One sale doesnt mean much but since they still rare on console i wouldnt sell less then 80k. If your on console that is.

I think the lowest price I've seen in Guild Stores on PS4 is 90k (which is still ridiculously high IMO). I've actually seen quite a few listed in major cities. In Area Chat, they probably go for less, but I wouldn't know because I usually opt out of voice chat due to all the noise. Now, what the motif actually sells for is a mystery to me; I've only seen the listing prices, which range from 90-150k. Not sure if people really pay that much though.

@Sixsixsix161 44k! That's considered a steal on PS4! I wish the Console prices would drop that much lol. I nabbed a Barbaric motif yesterday for *only* 20k, which is considerably lower than the typical 40-70k I always see them listed for. I also grabbed a few Dwemer motifs that were selling for under the usual bare-minimum price of 10k. And now I'm virtually broke. :/

Sorry, I neglected to specify it's on PS4 EU, THAT'S why I was inquiring, because of the EXTREME rarity on consoles, and lack of addons I would assume they'd probably be more like 100k ++ seeing as daedric and elf go for 50k...

People have been looting and buying/selling motifs on PC for more than a year. So the demand is a lot lower because many players already have the motifs they want. Prices on consoles will come down, too. It'll just take some time. Heck, I remember blue motif books being a major source of income in the early PC days. Now you can barely give them away!

Yeah exactly, which is why I'd rather sell it now, and buy or loot one later haha.

Assuming your pricing is accurate, which is a solid 400% markup from a lot of PC prices, I would assume Imperial could easily go for 160-300k.
    Which is stupid.

Fair call, but any market in any economy would always abide by supply and demand, I've looked at about 60 guild traders and conversed with about 30 friends and they have all never seen one for sale...

So I have what would seem to the consumer as the only supply....
And I'm sure tonnes of people want it...

This is true, but you have to sell according to what people have. I'm sure there are players with 300k gold that want it... but are they in any of your guilds is the question.
