Why are vets so easy to kill in PvP?

Im a lvl 49 nightblade and It takes me 3-5 snipes to kill a vet but like 15 to kill a lvl 20 why is that? Im scared to become a vet now!I see my self running from a lvl 30 DK but go head on with Vet Dks and easily win..Thats just sad.

I think you just came across a low Health one, or one new to PVP perhaps. What you describe is not my experience at all.

PvP scales the stats of anyone who is below veteran 1. Check your Magicka, Stamina, and Health when you're in Cyrodiil. The reason vets are "squishier" is because they have around half the health you do. When you get to Veteran 1, you'll lose the stat scaling.

Im Reffering to the VR 8 i killed in around 6 shots with snipe but a lvl 30dk was kicking my ass. Its dumb that they dont get the 5k health and 20% dmg reduction

So you are telling me the more I play the weaker I get?

    It's a combination of things.

    1. physical resistance is mitigated by armor. Most stamina builds have 16-17k armor penetration completely bypassing People's resistance.

    2. stealth attacks are 100% critical chance and if your a NB or a Temp you get bonus critical damage.

    3. lag from the server so the hit doesn't even register to the other player until its too late.

    4. you were scaled because your not a veteran.

So to sum up and answer you question,
It's due to a complete and totally utter failure in game design.

Zos intends to change the scaling mechanic next major patch to include vet levels. You probably have more resources but right now your regen, spell dmg, won dmg and gear is what will increase with levels. Currently scaling affects non vets up to v14 levels but doesn't affect vets.

Its a bug, or an oversight. However you think of it. Either way, ZOS is aware of it and plan to do something about it one day.

Basically from 1-49 you are an amazing ~VR12 character being upscaled in strength. Suddenly at 50 you go from being upped in strength to relying entirely on your own gear, stats etc. You effectively drop from VR12 to VR1. Oh dear.

This means anyone VR1 to say VR9 will probably not be a huge threat to you.

    I'm interested in this...

word on the street is that once you hit VR1 you become seriously gimped by the fact you get no scaling boost. So am I to understand that a boost will be applied to balance out the gimped state of a VR1?

    Correct.

Scaling will hit everyone below the level that scaling ups you to... Which is V12 I think now. So V11 will get a small boost and V12 none.

My HP is still boosted and i'm VR5. I obliterate none-Vets. My assumption is whoever you hit had either crappy gear or is not specced for HP at all. I occasionally kill people in 2-4 hits (9k crit snipes)
