I sure hope some ambitious person is consolidating all the information and clarifications from ZOS so at some point we can get this all in one place for a real picture of what it's going to be like.

Thanks @ZOS_GinaBrunoZOS_GinaBruno wrote: »Crafting stations in Imperial City will be in safe areas so you can't get killed.
I hope that ZOS will consider putting up a detailed article about how crafting will work in the IC release to shut down the fearmongering that's been going on in the various threads. Not just regarding the access to the new crafting stations, but also the acquisition of the new materials for VR 15-16 items.

There's going to be a lot of information about Imperial City this Friday at our QuakeCon panel which will be livestreamed and recorded, and the full PTS patch notes will also have a pretty significant amount of info. Between those two instances, most questions or concerns should be clarified.

Hehe nice try, but they're not done yet.

So how many pages of patch notes have they got you doing for this one?
All of that was already covered on ESO Live a few days ago and concretely if you watch the demonstrationI_killed_Vivec wrote: »I hope that ZOS will consider putting up a detailed article about how crafting will work in the IC release to shut down the fearmongering that's been going on in the various threads. Acquisition of new materials.
Crafting locations and details of the new sets.
Progression to VR16 crafting, with the impact on writs, etc.
The new passives - are they just the passives required to craft to the new levels?
New food/potions?
New enchantments?
They have hinted at these aspects but not provided concrete details. Not everybody has time to use the PTS, and in any case I'd rather be told what I'm going to have to pay for rather than work it out for myself...

I do all my crafting on a low level crafting alt.
VR15/16 gear has to be crafted in IC.
So it means I can kiss goodbye to my crafting alt or level him up to VRx?
Or just kiss goodbye to him since the character that crafts the items has to be the same as the character that wears them (bind on pickup)?
@rayeab16_ESO Unless they have had a major change in their plans, you will not need to be VR16 to do Orsinium, as players will be scaled to the content.rayeab16_ESO wrote: »hm..a simple word from Zos about whether or not you need to allready be VR16 to take part in any part of the Orsinium DLC would also go a long way for a lot of us. if we knew we didnt have to actualy go near the ImpCity DLC, but as we have been told could miss it out, a lot of us who are worried now might also be less worried (and less likely to complain about the problems with mats, crafting and TeaBagStones lol)
i mean, if we can also get the materials for the vr15-vr16 stuff within Orsinium, and the *only* thing we would be missing out on from the impCity is the styles (assuming thats what the crafting stations are there for) or the specific sets (as in the places out in the wilds with specific set bonuses) then a lot of the dissatisfaction might melt away (at least for some of us)
so i guess we are going to have to wait till friday/sat (cause friday night in the usa is satday morning to us in the uk lol) for more info.
@Grunim Imperial City is included under the same population counter as Cyrodiil, so you will need to join a Campaign in order to gain access (except for the Group Dungeons).@ZOS_GinaBruno
I hope they cover if your crafting character has to choose a campaign to reach the Imperial City crafting tables.
My crafting character is not part of the same alliance that my PvP characters fight for and I'm concerned that since we have so few campaigns on the PC that my crafting character might block my real PvP characters from actually participating in Cyrodiil in the campaigns where allies need me to fight.
@Greatsword @jamesharv2005ub17_ESO You are correct. Battle-levelling exists in Imperial City just like it does in the rest of Cyrodiil.jamesharv2005ub17_ESO wrote: »I am sure like in Cyrodill you will be auto leveled while in IC.Greatsword wrote: »Not-so-involved on-and-off player in need of clarification:

The idea is that players scale to the content, just like battle-levelling. It may even be part of battle-levelling. (Conversely, if content scaled to the player, there would have to be numerous different instances of Wrothgar that was scaled to the right level, and that means people wouldn't be able to play together.)rayeab16_ESO wrote: »@rayeab16_ESO Unless they have had a major change in their plans, you will not need to be VR16 to do Orsinium, as players will be scaled to the content.rayeab16_ESO wrote: »hm..a simple word from Zos about whether or not you need to allready be VR16 to take part in any part of the Orsinium DLC would also go a long way for a lot of us. if we knew we didnt have to actualy go near the ImpCity DLC, but as we have been told could miss it out, a lot of us who are worried now might also be less worried (and less likely to complain about the problems with mats, crafting and TeaBagStones lol)

thanks for that, but i dont realy trust them on that. after all they said all the DLC they were going to make us pay for, would be level'd like that, so even a freshfaced (50) would be able to go do them. yet ImpCity isnt (granted you get battle-leveled) but is being battle-level'd the same or different as the content being level scaled to you? i dont remember if they said WE would be level'd to the content, of if the content would be level'd to fit us (lol)
besides.... they keep changin their minds...its one big round of on-again-off-again with them. i have a feeling that if they sometimes gave us more info, we wouldnt allways jump to the bigbad ending via conclusion and argume- i mean ^^ Disscussions lol
(however i also realise that, some of us allways jump that way. 1+1=15 to some of the internet some days. we have all done it i think..)
i also think that at least telling us what level you need to be to go there (be it post VR16 or post-faction-storyline) would still some fears.(and telling us the level isnt going to be *spoilers* much anyway lol) its uncertanty and missing data thats causing our wild speculation and heated debates. after all, if you do not give your mentat all the info, they cannot make a proper computation *wink*
