Vampire stuck at level 1 no XP is being adding been grinding

My vampire has been stuck at level 1, tried logging off back on, grinding, reseting skills and rebuying. No luck. What do I do?? No XP is being added for some reason??

    You've got vampire skills on your active skill bar while earning XP, right? That's the only way to level the skill line.

    Did you fully complete the "Scion of the Blood Matron" quest? Also what level is your character? The vampire skill line is technically level 40, and for low level characters it might seem like it isn't moving because it barely is. The line is meant for level 40+ characters technically so the XP needed for each rank is quite high. If both of these aren't the case, I'd submit a ticket to have ZOS look into it. Might be a bug.

    I did finish the quest, I am only level 16 but I don't think its moving at all....

    Like this at the bottom of the screen:

    Or you can check it from the skills menu. The only vampire skill you're going to be able to put on it at Vampire 1 is Drain Essence. Without that on your skill bar you'll never gain XP in the skill line. At level 16 it's going to take a super long time anyway, though...

    Oh its already in my skill line..... I guess it will take a long time.... XD

    You do not need a vampire skill on your bar to level the skill line anymore, that is old advice. You level passively through experience gained. I don't know if you can hover over the bar like you can on PC, but in general the xp is based off about a level 40 character getting the skills, so at level 16 it will hardly seem to move. Just hang in there.
