Armor vs. Physical Resistance

LawyerLarry
Which one adds more protection, or are they the same thing? I'm currently wearing Knightmare helm and armor and get a physical resistance bonus. I just got a helm that has a higher armor rating, but I will lose the physical resistance bonus.

They are the same thing. Every description used to say armor, now most of them say physical resistance. There are a few instances where they forgot to change the wording.

Now, if the helm that you just looted is not part of the Knightmare set, you will lose the bonus that the Knightmare set gave you.

Yea ZoS needs to be more clearer about there descriptions. Tried doing the death challenge for VCOH and it says to complete it you must defeat all named and mini bosses before facing the last guy with out a group members death which is what we did and died a few times trying to kill him and once we did no achievement. ZoS forgot to say also can't die at him too.

Armour adds 1:1 to both physical resistance and spell resistance.

So armour is not the same as physical resistance.
