vr rank noob questions

Mighty google cant find my answer so thought i would try here...
I have just hit cadwells silver yet im level 49
How does it work?.is the starter zone a vr rank?..so if it takes me a good portion of quests to hit 50..will i have to grind to level vr2 before moving on?.
Also if i go back to my allience zones to finish up a few leftover quests,will i get xp..or does the 5 levels over rule come into play?

    Might be a good idea to grind to lvl 50 before hitting Cadwell silver starting zone, just makes the level progression a little closer to what you need.
    Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

    Questing in caldwells silver at 49 is pretty average. Everything in the whole first zone is vr1 so you will hit vr1 early into the zone. The next zone is all vr2 and so on.

    Do your undaunted reg daily for extra catch up exp.

    ... even lower level quest will give XP, so if you missed some might be good to do those along with the grind.

    Dungeon questing too if you haven't done these yet

    Ah..great thanks for responses.
    Im nearly at 50..but dont want to exhust the quests...if the starting isle is one vr rank and very small (im on bleakrock)..is the rest of the rank just grinding before moving on to next zone.

    Bleakrock & your next area, Bal Foyen are just the starter islands.
    You will head to Stonefalls after those & yes, it is much larger & will still be V1.

    Just to add, you may have missed some stuff at earlier levels. I'm usually VR1 before I open up the North part of Coldharbor.
    That may or may not matter to you tho :)

    Well i haven't done a single group dungeon yet...i want to but i cant find anyone..joined a few guilds..but a lot seem to run they're own group..used group finder..total nightmare..iv stood outside dungeons emoting and talking throght prox chat..no joy!..given up.
    So probably why?,but not done so bad considering.....
    Hod i wish we had text chat lol.

    aww yeh the dungeons are probably the difference. Sorry you guys have to struggle so much for that grouping.

    Yeah..i love this game..but dungeon grouping is horrible without text chat.
    I just dont think anyone uses the dungeon finder utensil,and why people stand around outside dungeons,and refuse to group is beyond me....maybe i need to visit dye station and make myself more attractive..like a dungeon mating call!!
