Champion Points (a fix)

So I started playing this about 3 weeks ago on Xbox One, and I have basically no-lifed my way to veteran rank 11, with about 40 some-odd champion points, yet I go into cyrodiil and run into some v14s that I can easily kill, and then I run into a veteran rank 4 who 2 shots me. The only thing that makes sense is that their champion points are much much higher than mine. Probably one of them PC character copies who made an alt and dumped their 2k to 3k cp into their alt.

ZoS can you please make additional servers that automatically queue you into other players within 100 or 200 cp of yourself? Or make it so your champion point sum shows up on your character name tag? Instead of veteran rank? Let's be real, veteran rank has nothing to do with how powerful you are, so what's the point of displaying v rank. The real level is the champion rank on the character screen. I'd like to know when I should or shouldn't attack some non veteran level 25 dude that has 3600 champ points from PC.

Sure I can kill a veteran rank 2 that started the game 2 weeks ago without trying, but when I see 8 players who are all around v rank 9 trying to kill one guy, but we all get wiped to a single player who isn't even an emporer? Really lol.

And no, I wasn't hit by a glitches cold paCT ballista or killed some some player glitching out with expert Hunter. I checked in the death recap.

The queue thing would never work- there are 3600 CP. 300 or more difference between players will be significant, so you'd have to break it into groups of 300. that's up to 12 total queue groups. You'd see a lot less faces in PvP, which would hurt worse than being trapped in a single campaign with everyone.

I DO like the idea of displaying the CP someone has above their heads. If nothing else, that lets me know that if a player with a ridiculous amount of CP is heading my way, I can get far far away.

I know I suck at PvP ... but a V10+ being ganked by a lvl 15 just didn't seem right, until I understood the CP system

Yup. I'm basically on hiatus from the game. Really hope they come up with something to fix it that isn't pay to win either. I'll quit the day that happens.

Because sometimes...skill matters.

Low Vets have been killing high level vets for a long time. Happened long before CP. Technique is important. Animation cancelling a must.

My guess is, ( I have to guess) since you really didn't offer specific details, you fell to someone adept at animation cancelling so that multiple shots hit in succession.

Tell us more specifically about these "one shots" Your class and build and the circumstances of these encounters. How familiar are you with animation cancelling?

Eh, having one player that possibly knows how to play well and is a lower rank that kills you over another higher rank one that doesn't is not proof of a champion point problem. It's a huge assumption on your part is all it is. I've no doubt that there can be a CP gap, but it will tighten up a bit as time goes on. Calling for changes when you don't even know for sure the issue is what gets problems ignored however.

People no matter there rank youtube and google builds for there class they get good quickly on console from the pc players trying so many different setups over the last 12 months they done all the homework it aint no secret to get a good build

It was mistake made by Zen. They said they remove VR from the game what they didnt, and forget to put Battle Leveling to VRs, 1-49 lvl guys have Battle Leveling and got like 45k health, when you hit VR1 all thats is taken away from you. High-end PVP, meaning most are VR14 with legendary or purple gears is alot different what we currently are having. Truth is that lvl 1-49 guys are tougher than vr1-13 currently. If I was you, Id ask compensation, this was huge mistake by Zen and someone should get fired, not the greatest start to console launch, it was 1+ mill dollar mistake.

I actually vote no. PvP servers are already very underpopulated, it's mostly walking around. Fracturing in such a way would be unwise.

Better to two non-CP campaigns - Vet and Non-Vet.

Nobody has 3k cps and i am somewhat amused that people always blame their failures to the imagenary cps of their enemies. Its not like evrybody has 3k cps running around so dont delude yourself.

So you can animation cancel Surprise Attack twice in a row and die? Lol. I'm not ***, I read the death recap. I don't care if they animation cancelled or hit me 5 minutes apart, I was killed in two hits by a vet 2.

How would someone not have 3k cp? I can grind out 5 cp in a day without even trying. Do the math, 9 cp a day gets you 3285 points in a year. You're telling me that there wasn't a fair amount of no life people who grinded out 9 a day or near it? Cp system has been out a year on pc. And those who copied their character from pc, still got to keep their pc character, and only pay 20 bucks for the transfer and console copy of the game. Who would not do that?

Besides, 3k cp isn't even required in order to 2 hit some one with only 50 cp. Only about a thousand probably needed.

And VR has no real impact on a characters damage. Not in the long run. All about them CP. And if a character can someone animation cancel 10 hits into 2 hits, which take about 1 to 1.5 seconds to do that's an exploit.

There is only one person in the world (AFAIK) that has 1,000 CP.

Or... No champion buffs in PVP. So this crazy thing happens where how long you survive, and how well you kill depends more on how good you play, and not how long you've done the grinding.

it hasnt been out for a year ROFL! CP is not the problem lol it is the player. Champion points just add to it. My buddy plays on consoles, he is only level 22. I ran into pvp with him for craps and giggles. He has NO Cp, and I watched him beat the crap out of people (vr14). So explain that one lol.

Battle leveling is the issue, removal of soft caps is the issue. Animation cancelling IS the issue. CP, not the issue. I wont even try discussing this any further for the simple fact that people will cling to anything that justifies their point of view regardless of it being true or not.

Uh yeah I can kill a VR 14 that has no champ points without even trying. Then you get someone with 300 or more champ points who came from pc, and you get just about 2 hit. I've run into VR 14s who do just as much dmg as I do, and it's an even fight. Then I run into other VR 14s who 2 shot me.

Explain to me how a level 32 fights like 6 people? He's not rolling around dodging attacks, you can see his life bar tick on every hit taken, but he takes nearly no dmg? It's not a shield, he's not blocking, he's running up to the next person that he wants to attack. Of course the dude eventually goes down. A normal level 30 character will die in 2 hits from me. Which should be normal because I'm vr12.

I know what skill is and I know that the instances I'm explain in have nothing to do with skill. All about the champ points. Unless there is some exploit that ups your defense stats a ton? I wouldn't put it past this game, simple glitches are brought to zenimaxs attention and it takes them months to even get the ball rolling.

So when did champion points come out then? Or are you unaware that hundreds of pc players transfered because when they were capable of doing so, they lost nothing for the transfer. It was a character copy. So they keep their pc character, pay 20 bucks and have a replica on xbox or ps4. Then if they dont like it, they go back to pc. Who wouldn't do that? And only 20 bucks for the game.

Either you are one of the pc transfers defending your champion points or you are missing some logic genes.

How to fix it?

Mind your own buissnes, dont stick your nose into others people constellations.

Problem solved. The time you spent on whining "how much work someone else put into getting CP and how little work i want to put into it, so overall i want him to lose all his work" could be invested in getting CP on yourself.

Im all about balancing cs but what you described above might be just as well experienced player from pc. WHne i say eperienced i mean he knows hw to use bugs and exploits. I mean i have no idea if those most rampart exploits from pc work on consoles but knowing Z. for more than a year i would bet my old arse that you actually can use them there too.

So 2+ mundus stones without a divines set + damage reduction with mist bugged out and you are really hard to take down. There are many other like the above so... pick your posion.

ITT - a lot of people with a stat advantage in PvP who are desperately afraid to lose it.

Man, that is gonna hurt when a no-CP campaign comes out and all these people claiming they have "skill" get stomped the second their opponents are no longer given a handicap against them.

If you didn't frequent the forums, you would never blame CP, you would simply take the time to actually learn the mechanics.

You have never lost an even fight because of CP.

If you get destroyed in PvP, consider they might be using the Camo Hunter bug.... Maybe this has nothing to do with CP (which I am against though...in the form they are right now)

Yes serious. The issue isn't who is or isn't skilled. It's the damage range that cp causes. You do realize that with just 100 cp, you are wearing basically another set of armor. I actually talked to a VR 14 on the other team today. I'm VR 13. I do nearly no damage to him. And his basic attacks kill me in 3 hits. So good luck explaining that to me. Basically just confirmed cp is way over powered.
