Does ESO Plus really not transfer between linked PC and PS4 Accounts?

What is the point of linking accounts if literally nothing transfers, I wasn't expecting a lot, But buying things like ESO Plus and Crowns don't transfer at all? What the hell? So I have to pay another 15$ for ESO Plus for my PC version that i literally just bought on my PS4? Really?

ESO plus does not cover more than one platform. I'm not sure why exactly, but linking accounts allows you to just have 1 account which makes life easier (at least for me), and it won't allow a second account with the same email - so if you operate with only one email - linking accounts is the way to go.

The reasoning behind this is partly due to where the information is stored. ESO Plus on console is attached to your XBL/PSN account, and there is no way for your XBL/PSN/PC accounts to read what benefits are applied to each other. The linking of the accounts just exists to let your XBL/PSN account get access to the game servers.

No, not just to the game servers. There is direct sharing of Crowns, which means the option could be implemented. It's not there, for reasons that are the opposite of being beneficial to the consumers. If I can spend 400 crowns on PC or XB1 and then check the crown store on the other and instantly see that new updated balance, they could make it so that it pulls your actual account info. As I mentioned elsewhere, other companies were able to pull that off years ago, there is no good excuse other than wanting more $$ but really it's one of those "backfire" situations where it inspires me to want to spend less $$... sharing crowns but having to buy the same item for each platform? Not cool. I could see if the crowns weren't literally directly linked, but they are.... so it's obvious it can be done.
