something should be done about vamps

deathbykarma
Just did my first Dragonstar last night, was very fun except for one thing, being a vampire in a trial or arena is bad, there is no way to feed....... And this needs to be addressed, also why is there no perks to staying human? And why are the vamp perks one sided? It seems zos is ww crazy.

It seems zos is ww crazy.

Totally, they're so werewolf crazy that the only reason to even pick up werewolf is for the stamina recovery while completely ignoring and never slotting any of the werewolf abilities because you do more damage, have more control, and are tougher when not transformed.

This argument is always the same. Werewolves say vamps get all the good perks, Vamps say werewolves get all the good perks.

With the upcoming patch the fire weakness of vampires is being reduced from 50% to 25%, but that aside I think they're remaining the same in terms of health regeneration per stage and whatnot. If anything if there was a way to stage at stage 1 for longer and only suffer the 25% increase to fire damage I feel vampires would be very viable for PvE despite the copious amounts of fire damage available.
Everyone goes werewolf simply for the Stamina regeneration passive, with only a small few actively using the ultimate and the associated spells.
Both are soso at best, but currently werewolf gives a free buff, so there's no reason outside of roleplaying purposes to stay mer / human / normal sort of thing.

Ok let me respecify, I mean there needs to be a time increase on the feedings, you can't even do a dungeon without going into stage 2.

Think twice before becoming a Vampire and accept the disadvantages if you do. It's your choice.

    Well to be completely honest:
-pick werewolf, don't slot it or invest any points in it and you get increased stamina recovery.
-pick vampire, don't slot it or invest any points in it and you get *** by fire everywhere, can kiss your health regen goodbye, aswell as get excluded from most endgame groups.

Werewolf does seem like a better choice :P

yeah I have stated this in other posts and my own. I don't like the ''buff'' coming to vamps. becoming a vampire or werewolf should be a big decision not one to be taken lightly. It should come with risks and rewards. ZOS should not cater to bad or inexperienced players by homogenising them and reducing it to a cosmetic choice or we will end up with twilight online as someone put it earlier.
If they were going to make a change rather than reduce the fire damage penalty I would like a new skill or a buff to an existing one. which is more in keeping with the high risk high reward play they said they intended.
To those saying they are being excluded from endgame groups join a good guild. one that rates players on merit not the raid leader or gm's preconceived idea that they know everything about the millions of potential builds in the game.
turn up show them you are an asset not a liability and you will not have a problem. This applies to all folks running non cookie cutter builds.

WW perks should only apply when in WW form.

they do only apply to ww form. Stamina regen isn't a perk and the ww is just terrible, high cost ultimate that can be interrupted with no ultimate refund which you lose access to all weapon/class skills and their passives and have to use set skills. All this and in actually i have higher dps/more survivability if I'm in human form.

Vamps get magicka + stamina passives, access to an escape skill, access to a high dmg aoe skill that heals and moves with you and is relatively cheap (half the cost of ww ultimate). Can also sneak at the speed of sprinting, access to all passives and access to all weapon/class skills while using any vampire skills. Just dodge the fire.

The staying pure thing and being rewarded has not been in any of their Modus Operandi thusfar.

If you consider achievements as winning/scoring points towards advancement in the game then:

You need to intimidate random merchants, slaughter livestock, people, steal, be cursed with lycanthropy and vampirism.

Then of course, from the mage's guild side, a good deed is its own reward.

So their track record isn't exactly stellar on do the right thing and things will work out best for you.

If they wanted to have something where you could have extra power as a non-WW/Vamp then they would probably take a hint from the Emp skill line (that may be going away), and have former WW/former Vamp passives. Those would give benefits from a been there done that.

IMO, the feed should have been left unbreakable and a former vampire passive would give you the ability to break free of vampire abilities.
Due to a typo in the system, the area was accosted by the Daedric Prince Moar Lag Brawls.

25% extra fire damage is NOT trivial. And then you can still die to FG skills which have nothing to do with fire:

@Emma_Eunjung I didn't say it was trivial in fact i said it was a high risk choice that should be equally rewarded. Also I see your 162k and raise you this
