Can we get an option to only buy the PVE dungeons?

After reading more about ZOS plans for the IC and the the post of some people around here I have reached the conclusion that the only reason for me to buy this DLC is to have access to the two PVE dungeons.

I am a little bit annoyed though since buying it would imply that I actually have any desire in supporting ZOS in developing their unbalanced zerg/gank/lag fest they call AvA pvp further.
Give us an option to opt out of this junk but have access to the dungeons. The price doesn't even matter . it is more about not feeling dirty.

    .

If you buy it: You can port directly to those 4 man dungeons and skip the AvA content that makes you personally grind your teeth and feel dirty.

No. I am a deliver in consumer democracy, I want an option that says: "Guys I really like your pve dungeons and trials but each time I try to give your PVP a chance [something I actually enjoy in some games(and something I even enjoy in this game ocasionaly)}I end up believing you might as well quit that pvp endeavor altogether and concentrate on something you guys are good at".

I've been in Cyrodiil long enough to get all the quests/shards/dungeons done only done enough PvP to unlock Caltrops for my tank. Now ask, am I mad the IC annoucement?

Nope. I don't care for PvP, but I can do my PvE content just like I did in Cyrodiil. Yes, I got killed a few times, but that comes with the territory. The rewards for doing the dailies in IC can't be looted as long as you don't open them. I am all for the high risk, high reward concept. Started out I'll keep the the low risk, low reward and might build my way up to the high, who knows.

Point is, it doesn't change how I play, just adds to it. IC questing/pvping is not much different than Cyrodiil.

What exactly does any of that has to do with anything related with my OP. I have been in Cyrodiil long enough to do all of that on more than one character. I had enough of that to decide that I do not want to even appear that I want to pay for it anymore. I would actually consider what they plan nice if I considered the overall pvp experience "playable".

I may be a bit biased since I made this thread after three hours of experiencing pvp on PC NA Azura's and Chil.

I agree with you OP. There is nothing in IC I am really interested in. The Dungeons would have been them, but I don't want to have to go through the PVP BS to try to get to the PVE content AT ALL.

I might have been a little interested in trying some of the other stuff, but not with being forced to run through PVP zones to get to safety and risk the lose of TV stones.

Frankly, I think if ZOS was smart, they would start developing a PVE only version of Cyrodiil and IC and strictly separate PVP from PVE for down the road just in case.

At this point, I can only hope when Orsinium is released, it has V16 gear that is comparable to what IC gets, and there are also new mats and traits for Crafters to upgrade their gear with. I just hope I don't have to wait another year for it.
Far too many characters to list any more.

Cyrodiil might be a bit easier, since it's so wide-open, and you can pick instances where your faction holds supremacy. While gankers still like to hide out at delves and sky shards, they're not all that tough to avoid.

Meanwhile, IC sounds like it'll be a much more confined space.

Once you enter IC there should be an Option to turn on/off a PVP flag that stays until you leave. That way you should be able to pve all day long.

However, I'm fairly certain it wouldnt be economical for their bean counters. Just like calling up Comcast and telling them I really only need these 10 channels or so, no need for 400 or that high bill...I'm not getting a choice :'(
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

Well the truth is that this game is one of the few games where most of the time the PVP is more brain dead than the pve. It is quite intriguing how ZOS manged to do that and how some people still think that this constantly lagy , unresponsive, long down time zerg fest mess is actually in any way entertaining. If it was up to me I would give you an option to only pay for the crapfest triangle.

Considering that PVE was nerfed because a lot of those oh so hardcore PVPers didn't like the long leveling experience I could actually see ZOS eventually giving you that. Just wait for it .

A lot of the tension over PvP and PvE stems from the adoption of megaservers rather than the traditional individual servers. With individual servers we'd be able to have separate PvP servers for those who wanted e.g. open world FFA PvP, while having other servers on which PvP was either disabled or personally flagged in places like Cyrodiil and Imperial City thereby catering for those who only want to PvE as well as those who want to do both but with some degree of consent so far as PvP is concerned.

That way the hardcore PvPers would be happy because their VR14s could hang around in Vulkhel Guard and gank the newbies as they emerged from the tutorial house, while those who just wanted to go to Cyrodiil and Imperial City for exploration, skyshards, quests and achievements could do so without having to engage in PvP if they didn't want to. Those inbetween the extreme positions would be able to choose what to do and when.

At the moment the game is restricting everyone's chosen playstyle regardless of which side of the fence they sit on so far as PvP is concerned, and that's a shame - not least to ZOS who will suffer a shortfall of revenue from DLC because of it.

If this can calm down a lot of the complains I read in the forum, why not. This may be a good idea. Make it a little bit less expensive, like 2000 crown (ofc we will have players complaining that too much, but I think a DLC need to be more expensive than a month of sub)
This can also give good insight to Zenimax to see what are the preference of their player base.

If its doable from a technical point of view, DO IT! I support that idea!

I may catch a lot of crap for this... not sure, I've been out of MMO'S since FF XI (not counting DCUO which I dabbled in) but here goes:

Why not just roll out in a group if you're a Pve player? "Oh no... can't do that, they'll call me a zerg" Whatever, who cares? You accomplish your goal and might get killed a few times. It's going to be infinitely more productive to do that then whine about it on the forums. They're not gonna change it (at least I hope not), so start thinking of the Solution instead of the Problem.

That's not how it worked . There were pve and pve phases of all open areas had to use a phase shifter to switch between them. In pve phase you could toggle pvp on but the only people you could attack also had to have it toggled on. In the pvp phase however everyone's a target
