The Diary of the Crimson Assassin
Log Date: 8th Moon of the 585th Year of the 2nd Era
Dear Diary,
Wait...that sounds stupid.
Dear Log of the Assassin,
That's better.
Today I walked into the Imperial City with blades dipped in poison and ready to kill a few unlucky victims.
My special time-keeping device told me it was Service Call (11:00 a.m.) when I spotted my first kill...an unlucky Orc from which you could tell, even from a distance, he had too much to drink.
Approaching from behind him, he suddenly heard a noise and grabbed his warhammer. I heard the noise as well, and my heightened sense of smell immediately told me a Daedra was approaching.
Sure enough, a very large Flesh Atronarch came over and started fighting the orc. I decided I should sneak around and kill the Flesh Atronarch first...but as I snuck around to prepare, I saw a rock...a very sharp rock. And better yet, with a good kick, it can probably do what I can never do on my own.
I immediately kicked the rock into the back of the Flesh Atronarch...he roared once before collapsing on top of the unlucky Orc, pancaking him and killing him.
As I picked up the Tel Var stones, I suddenly heard a shout...
"HOLD!"
In my folly, I didn't see the Dremora regiment until it was too late. Now I had no advantage.
I immediately shoved the 3 Tel Var stones in my bag and looked around...and then heard a "HALT IN THE NAME OF THE ALDMERI DOMINION!" I grinned.
There was an Aldmeri Dominion regiment of roughly the same size heading towards me, but yet what they couldn't see was the Dremora. And even better, looking to my left, was a darkened platform...just the perfect distance and height to attempt a full assassination.
Thinking quickly, I grabbed one of my smoke screens from my belt...and threw the bag around my shoulders.
The Dominion and the Dremora were now working a full charge. Just as both neared me...I threw the smoke screen down on the ground and it unleashed a small cloud of smoke...the Dominion and Dremora stopped. Concealed by the smoke, I leaped into the air and landed on the platform. Ah, what's this? A crate to hide behind. Excellent!
When the smoke cleared, there was no sign of me...but no matter. Dominion and Dremora looked at each other...the commanders yelled simultaneously, "CHARRGE!"
I watched as the battle unfolded. Dremora steel crunched into Dominion armor. Dominion swords crunched into Daedric plate. Dremora cut down Dominion soldiers and in turn were cut down by the Dominion.
In the end, only 2 Dremora remained...as they began to dust themselves off, I saw an opportunity. I leaped from the platform...and landed on the first Dremora, breaking his neck. At the same time I thrust my blade forward and hit the second Dremora. What happened next was funny.
I got off the first Dremora and cloaked myself. Meanwhile, the second dremora spun around and around and around and around...it made me dizzy. As the first Dremora tried to help him, he suddenly got hit by his own comrades sword, killing him. Then the second Dremora collapsed. I spoke to the second Dremora for a bit before adding the assassin's symbol to his throat.
Grabbing all the Tel Var stones, I rushed back to the Pact's sewer base and waited turned in my stones.
That's all for now, Assassin's Log. I'm about to fall asleep. There's more unlucky soldiers to be slaughtered tomorrow.
Signed,
The Crimson Assassin
If you can't handle the heat...stay out of the kitchen!
