Next Console Patch might not come this month?

The just said in ESO live that they are hopping for the next console Patch to take place at the end of this month and that dose not sit well with me. They did not seem very confident with the next patch hitting this month. We are already about to hit the one month mark since the last Xbox patch, is this really what we can be expecting for the future. Lets face it bugs exist in the game and a lot of time small patches need to be implemented to fix things like broken quests. So if after a patch we find a bug that is causing major problems you are telling us it will be 4+ weeks until it will be fixed?

While I can understand big changes taking longer to get implemented it should not be taking this long. As far as things like the XP boost potions, these where released before console launch, and approval from Microsoft/Sony should have been in the works long ago.

Now that I have said all that I feel better.

I think that she was simply saying it that way because they are likely in QA, which can bring up possible delays, and then the patch has to be submitted to Sony/MS, which can also be delayed. So, committing to a date when you still have those two events in front of you isn't wise, as you may get burned if something goes wrong.

I think the next patch or two is going to have more delay on console, because setting up a new process to develop, then fork development of new patches into the consoles, each of which have their own needs/quirks, can look good on paper, but may have some hiccups in reality. Plus, they are probably still working on some lingering launch bugs.

Before too long, I would guess that the patch releases will become more normalized and not have the current gap we're seeing now.
