What is the best PVP class?!

TMick90
TMick90
Hey everyone I currently hit VR14 on my Imperial Templar last week and am noticing some of the other classes in pvp. I was wondering what is the best class hands down for pvp? Please list the class build and race. For example a stamina woodelf nightblade? or would a stamina imperial nightblade be better? Or is a High elf/breton sorcerer more OP?

I think that you should go learn how to play your hard-earned imperial templar rather than replaying what someone else tells you is the flavour of the month class.

You will not 'win' simply by having the best class. you have to practice and learn to play it.
People are always saying "learn how to play". What does that even mean? Learn to play like you play? Smash buttons in the right order? Dodge & roll & block and slash? Use this, use that? What? That is one of the least helpful statements anyone has ever said.

Work with guildies. Better yet, fill one of your 5 guild slots with a pvp guild, a few exist. Most qq about pvp classes is due to players not understanding what works and what doesn't in certain situations. While the game is play as you want that doesn't mean anything will work.

Also, watch streams of pvp groups. See what skills they and what they are saying and doing. Best is first part of running with a good pvp group. They can help you.

Imperial Dragon Knights are still pretty OP I was a level 20 fighting off lvl 40-50's and holding it down but I'm sure they will nerf dragon knights soon.

You may want to wait a little while on this and ask again after Imperial City comes into the game. There are a bunch of changes that could balance things out. Hopefully that's the case and all classes will be on equal grounds.

Argonians. Even if they swallow their TV stones, you won't have an issue cutting them open to retrieve them. Maybe even find a Perfect Roe while you're at it.

But seriously, since PVP is a group effort, the best character is one that supports your alliance the best. You may feel unappreciated being the lone healer in a pack of DPS. But PVP is so much more enjoyable when you ignore the most selfish players and focus on winning the war, not just individual battles.

The best class in pvp is the one you play the best in pvp. It's a different game than in PvE and as such requires different skills and style to play well. Running with some good pvp players and getting the lowdown from them will help. Templar il has good skill of played right.

Does anyone know what kind of buffs and debuffs all the races and classes are getting on the next update?

Condescending much? Not all of us know exactly what each class does or what will survive. Why do you think I'm so frustrated. It doesn't matter what I create. All I do is die.

It's really too bad you couldn't see the truth in what the other person said. Play your class well and you'll do fine. It's not about which class you pick, but picking one that suits your playstyle best is key. I don't think it makes any sense to ask the general ESO community what class fits your playstyle best.

So do some research and learn about the different classes in PvP-- maybe focus on the one you want to play most. Adjust skills. Adjust gear. Adjust CPs if needed. Go PvP, see what works and what doesn't, learn. Rinse, repeat until you're satisfied. Just remember there is no "I win always" class or build.

That wasn't condescending. You're asking for an "I win" class when there isn't one really. From what I understand both Templars and Nightblades can be pretty amazing but that didn't stop me from, being new to the game and only VR2, getting both a 20 Templar and 20 Nightblade bounty board on my two handed/dual wield stam DK last night.

If you're dying constantly then you're probably running into unwinnable situations like charging into a group you can't handle. Basically look at your skills. Roughly speaking you need some form of shields/sustainability, a way to deal with ranged classes, and a great burst skill at minimum. Also look at stuns/locks etc. They can pretty much all be broken by the other player near-instantly but that near instant is often enough to gain the advantage. I don't know Templar skills aside from that hideous channeling skill they have and that light-spear thing that I'm often on the receiving end of so I can't offer specifics.

Stay with large groups and use sneak a lot. Sneak allows you to pick one on one or two fights and have the opening shot which is often enough to win the win fight.

Generally speaking I think it's pretty clear DK is the best PVP class but with the right build/skillset they can be taken down like any other class. I wouldn't say they are OP to the point of the class being broken but they do require the least amount of effort to succeed with than other classes imo.
