A percentage of your overall health?

Your blood pressure may have something to do with it too.
STOP YELLING IN YOUR THREAD TITLES.
You'll stress less.

Isn't fall damage considered Physical Damage, and shouldn't the increased resistance to Physical Dmg make Fall Dmg less painful? I'm suffering the same damage to my health at 18,000 that I did when I only had 5,000. What's up with that?

Well it is the point if you are so concerned about your health. If you aren't worried about your health you wouldn't have made the thread.

Please stay with me... I'm concerned with the lack of decrease in damage suffered as a result of me jumping off of high locations. Anyone telling me to just not jump is being unnecessarily A - holish. I asked an unoffensive question. There really is no need for sarcasm of any kind on any level, otherwise why just not reply?

Not getting on you but i don't understand how anyone die's by falling, myself i usually just hug the wall on the way down and suffer no dmg. But there's times im on horseback when i just sprint and jump off a mountain that would kill me in any other game, but in ESO i take maybe 25-50% health at most.

It's a valid solution to your problem. I'm sorry you are being short sighted on the issue.

Actually no, it's quite dumb. That's like you having a problem with being killed by a boss and I suggest that you just don't get hit by the boss then, and maybe you'll stay alive. Not only does it come across as sarcasm, it in no way shape or form helps you accomplish your goal, and my goal is to understand why I'm not taking less dmg. If you can't offer insight in to the problem - you really have no place here other than to perhaps troll, and I have no interest in that. However, thank you for reading the OP.
As others have said, fall damage is percentile--based off the distance fallen.
Therfore, you will always see a relative amount, regardless of your total health number.

I don't stress over ANYTHING, and there is nothing wrong with capitalizing a title/subject. If you consider it yelling when its not in the actually OP, then perhaps you're too sensitive?

Will mist form help mitigate fall damage. I'm at work now, damn real life, so I can't check now I will and get back to you guys if no one has checked by then

It's a flat percentage... for example if you drop 10 feet you'll take 25% dmg, doesn't matter how much hp you have total.

Good question... I've actually tested that theory and the truth is you take more damage if you jump off a high place in mist form. I've noticed differences in the severity between just falling and purposefully jumping off. The latter is way more painful.
HungryHobo wrote: »Fall from x height = incur y% of health damage. This may also be based on downward velocity, as if you jump off a large height, land on a roof where your fall speed is dampened to a slide down the roof, and then land, you do not take damage. Or if you land on a sloped part of a rock that deflects you, I have survived that way too.
Overall, your total HP doesn't affect the dmg you take from my experience. Just the speed at which you land... which is directly correlated to the fall height (unless glitches..).
