Anyone plays on first person view?

When I play and stream on my lowbie EP to on its all in first perdon, it's the commitment I made for that character.

1st persons the only way I play.
though I haven't done any PvPing yet so may experiment a bit when/if I ever do

I play mainly in 1st person. I generally use 3rd person when I am running heal in groups or PvP so i can see where my teammates are and who is in the most trouble. When i go 2 handed PvE and i guess in PvP i go first person. Personal preference i guess

Not anymore.
I started out that way but it was easier to see what was going on in 3rd. Drove me a bit nuts with the offset until they finally gave us the option to fix that.
1st just feels kind of claustrophobic to me. I need to see what's around me (and under my feet)

I wish they would expand the field of vision up to something more realistic. 170 degrees or so. what it is now just feels very narrow and unrealistic

what i found is that, fisrt person is more immersive and it feels like a Elder scrolls game. but as you all notice, its a lot harder. You can win most battles on PVE and Single quest, i assume up to level 50. For PVP and Veteran you need to do 3rd.

I´m playing mostly the first scenarios so i will stick with first person for now. Like i said, i´m a sucker for animations and animations on this game looks bad. They feel very generic MMO from 3rd person view.

I'm not intended to be a pvp player at all so this seems to work for me.

Yeah I love it but only in pve. PvP its way too dangerous.

PVE=1st person , PVP=3rd person , unless i know i have a 1v1 fight

I play in First Person on my Sorc, unless there is a certain boss that has moving AOE or something. I play in third person on my Templar Healer cause it just seems easier to focus and heal. When I'm alone questing no matter my character in usually always First Person.

Always used to use FP view, way more interesting and i get into it better.

After my friends bugging me how much better 3rd person is, I switched. It is easier to aim on enemies, no blind spots, I can see my buffs and I can see how cool my dude looks....

Too many reasons not to.....

I like to use 1st person for combats, but sometimes I use 3rd person when walking around... Would like some improvement to the 1st person

@Slonekb05 I know the question wasn't directed at me.. but something I would like to see is a "smart-reticle" option. I currently use an add-on on PC for this (so the reticle is only there when I need it) but think it would be awesome to have in the base game - as when I'm on PS4 I find the reticle quite distracting and annoying (probably due to being used to it not being there...)

Games like Skyrim and Fallout I play first person. But with this game and all that is going on, including looking around at other PCs in the game, for me it is easier in third person.

Yes.

Note real life first person view is in the 200 degree range, unless you have some disease that limits your vision to tunnel vision.

Again, it's lack of proper feedback.

The fact that you can get hung up on a blade of grass without feeling it, or the fact that you can be on the fringe of an AoE and get little more than the "Ouch" sound and some slight red haze is what prevents it from being useful in end game.

It is more immersive. it requires you to know your distances, your surroundings, and be more situationally (and historically) aware than 3rd person does, but the limitations above make it damn near impossible.

I did my first DSA clear in first person view, and most of the initial Vet Group Dungeons, but it is arguably more difficult.

Consider if you were standing in my kitchen and leaned your hand against my hot stove. You would not have to see the burn to know it was happening.

Sadly, your character has no such gift.

Good point, i forgot about this. When i play any TES game, i always play in FP and turn aim sight off. I pretty much keep my screen as UI free as possible.

I have always played TES in First Person. This game I tried it, but could not handle the combat in that view point. So, now it's Third Person. Once we could move the camera around, it is perfectly fine way to play the game. (the initial skew to the right bugged me)

I have done some combat in First Person and I have to say, you should try it a few times even if you are a strict 3rd Person view type. It is pretty intense, and you can see so much more detail on the mobs this way.
